You could put Harry Kane in any team and he will improve them.

When Man City were struggling at the start of the season, it was because they were dominating but not taking chances. They've had some half chances today, balls whipped across the box but nobody's quite getting on the end of them. Kane would do that for them.

If Kane's available and affordable, every team in Europe will want him.

How do you improve a team that is already miles ahead of their rivals? Paul Dickov reckons Harry Kane would be a good signing for Pep Guardiola.

A tidy half by Palace. Wilfried Zaha is last to leave the pitch by some distance. Is he injured? That would be a huge blow to Palace.

Palace have taken four points off Manchester United this season. And they're certainly frustrating City. Raheem Sterling has the ball glued to his feet inside the penalty area before Eze takes it off him as he is about to shoot.

Crystal Palace sat in for the first 15 minutes but it was a bit frustrating. They've got good attacking players that haven't really had chance to express themselves.

When they did, they created the best chance of the game. I'd like to see a bit more from them going forward.

As you'd expect Man City are dominating but they're not creating much.

It's finally coming to life as half-time looms. Another lovely ball over the top finds Ferran Torres who drills it across the six yard area but Gabriel Jesus cannot react quickly enough. That's got to go down as a chance.

That's more like it.

A really sharp attack ends with Sergio Aguero popping it wide from about 10 yards.

That was probably City's best move of the game.

Palace immediately respond through Eberechi Eze but it drifts wide.

Gabriel Jesus thinks he has scored an absolute belter but it's quickly ruled out by an offside flag. It's a close range volley that Vicente Guaita was getting nowhere near to but it won't count.

Who were the last team to prevent City from having a shot on target in the opening half an hour? A small victory for Palace.

Pep Guardiola is getting more and more vocal. The City boss is a touch agitated with what he has seen so far. His players haven't really got going. This is not a classic but there's an awful long way to go.

And another chance for Palace.

A series of crisp passes ends with Christian Benteke turning on the edge of the six yard area to get a shot away which Ederson does ever so well to divert it behind for a corner.

That's two big chances for Benteke now.

It's all a bit scruffy at the moment. Fernandinho's long punt forward finds Raheem Sterling who goes to ground and wants a free-kick. Play continues and Palace are on the counter.
