It's not a day for gloves here in south London.

Is this Sergio Aguero's final game in London? He started it by wearing gloves on the first day of May.

We wondered what formation Man City would play when we saw the teamsheet. We still don't know because the front four of Jesus, Aguero, Sterling and Torres are interchanging so much.

It's a nightmare for the Crystal Palace back four who don't know who to pick up.

There's a zip about Palace. Wilfried Zaha thinks he's away before Fernandinho makes an important challenge. Zaha then concedes a free-kick and reacts by throwing his arms in the air.

Quiet from City so far. This is virtually a new team from the one that appeared in midweek. Unsurprisingly the visitors are dominating possession but have over-played it more than once.

Most of Palace's attacks are coming through Andros Townsend. He gallops down the wing before attempting a cross which, quite frankly, is poor.

City respond through Sterling who has a great chance inside the box before Tyrick Mitchell makes a crucial block.

Gabriel Jesus finds himself in acres of space outside the box but instead of going for goal decides to pass to Raheem Sterling.

It's a disappointing attempt from the England man. He tries to curl it into the top corner but it's high and wide.

That was a lovely move by Palace and will give them encouragement. It followed the first corner of game won by Ferran Torres which came to nothing.

Big chance for Palace!

Andros Townsend does really well to create space for himself before whipping in an inch-perfect cross for Christian Benteke but he gets his header all wrong.

It sails tamely wide. That should have been on target at least.

Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero combine outside the box. There's a tidy spin by Ferran Torres but he cannot get a shot away.

Man City are the best pressing team in Europe – they’ve taken what Liverpool and Bayern have done and built on it and it's meant they’ve massively improved this season.

You could see that it all clicked when they beat Liverpool. They contained them so well, Liverpool couldn’t go anywhere and they forced the errors from Alisson because he couldn't get out of trouble.

Then the second half in Paris they answered the big question about how they cope when they go behind. It’s not just confidence they have got, but it’s resilience. They’re kicking on and raising the bar all the time

A niggly start. Palace have conceded several free-kicks already. They're going to need to keep their discipline if they are to get anything from this.

Poignant that Wilfried Zaha stands while everyone takes the knee this weekend. English football is taking a stand against online abuse and boycotting social media over these three days.

Selhurst Park's playing surface looks like a bowling green and City are starting to find some rhythm. Wilfried Zaha sticks out an arm which connects with the head of an opponent. Free-kick.

This is just the 15th time Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus have started a Premier League game together.

In the previous 14, City have averaged 3.4 goals per game, winning 86% of those matches.

That's some stat.

Palace get the game under way and there's an early touch for Christian Benteke before City win possession and start a move from the back through Nathan Ake.

Pep is so intense. He demands the most from his players but he also trusts his staff. They bring a calming influence as well as the quality because it’s 24/7 football from Pep.

As much as Pep is close to his players though, Mikel Arteta was the go-between with the players. When he left, maybe they did struggle a bit.

But City have some great senior players, after the West Brom draw in December, Fernandinho called a team meeting and that helped them get back on track.

When Vincent Kompany left, there was a massive void but Fernandinho stood up and filled it. He’s the one at the training ground with the influence and I wouldn't be surprised if he got a longer contract.

This is going to be a good game, yeah?
