Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, speaking to BT Sport, on the heavy recent schedule for his squad: "We have done like we have the last few months, everyone plays and we make changes. Some players are tired and exhausted, some are fresh with a lot of confidence. They are all good players.

"When we talk about tactics we have to talk about the part of the players, they have skills and talent and we have to adapt. The rest is our theories but the important thing is our players and letting them express their quality."

On Palace: "Every one (previous games) was tough, this season we won but in the previous season we lost and we drew. We know Roy is a very experienced manager and there is a lot of personality in their team.

"We know we need to win two games to lift the title and we hope we can win one of them today."

Usually when you make changes you are severely weakened. But you see the squad strength when you look at who’s warming up as substitutes.

In the big games, Pep Guardiola does seem to have a go-to team which is new for this season. The players that are coming in though – Jesus, Aguero, Sterling, Fernandinho – they’ve got a point to prove, especially with there possibly being a Champions League final coming up.

It's a lovely afternoon here in south London.

It’s not a great surprise that Man City have made eight changes with this game sandwiched in between the two legs with PSG.

It could be quite a week for Man City – Wembley then Paris and if they win in Thornton Heath today, they could end up with the title tomorrow.

Wilfried Zaha has scored 10 Premier League goals this season, his joint-best return in a single league campaign in his career. He’s just the second player to reach double figures in two separate Premier League campaigns for the Eagles, after Luka Milivojevic.

What do we all make of Crystal Palace's season? Par for the course?

Sitting 13th in the table, they are all but safe for a ninth successive season in the Premier League which is some going.

It's going to be one heck of a busy summer at Selhurst Park. Will Roy Hodgson - 74 in August - lead the team in 2021-22?

Meanwhile, several players are in the final year of their contracts including Christian Benteke, Gary Cahill and Andros Townsend. And of course there is always constant noise concerning the future of Wilfried Zaha.

Incredibly, this is City's SIXTH successive game away from the Etihad.

Since losing at home to Leeds on 10 April, Pep Guardiola's side have played at Borussia Dortmund, Wembley (twice), Aston Villa and Paris St-Germain.

By the time they return to the Etihad to play PSG next week, they'll have clocked up more than 3,500 miles on the road in three weeks.

That's pretty much the equivalent of travelling from Manchester to New York.

Manchester City's performance against Paris St-Germain in midweek is the best I have seen them play in the Champions League.

The goals were pretty lucky when you actually look at them but it was their ability to stay calm against the world's best and their ability to change tactics.

In the second half they were all over PSG and actually battered them. It's only half-time and they are dealing in a really good manager in Mauricio Pochettino who will have his own plans for the second leg.

But it was a brilliant display by Manchester City.

Manchester City could win the Premier League title this weekend but they won't be celebrating it on their social media channels.

Clubs, players, athletes and a number of sporting bodies have begun a four-day boycott of social media in an attempt to tackle abuse and discrimination on their platforms.

It began at 15:00 BST on Friday and will end on Monday at at 23:59 BST.

The "show of solidarity against online abuse" hopes to encourage companies to take a stronger stance against racist and sexist abuse by users.

Palace's Andros Townsend, who starts against City, says he is proud of players voicing their opinions on racist abuse. Click above to listen.

Leicester edged closer to their goal of securing Champions League football next season despite being held to a 1-1 draw by 10-man Southampton.

Jannick Vestergaard was controversially sent off after just 10 minutes when his tackle on Jamie Vardy was deemed to have denied the Leicester striker a goal-scoring opportunity.

James Ward-Prowse put the 10-men ahead from the penalty spot before Jonny Evans headed the equaliser.

The Foxes are third with an eight-point cushion over fifth-placed West Ham, who have a game in hand.
