I loved the goal, the move, the noise, the atmosphere when it went it. Cavani said recently he wanted to sample the atmosphere and play in front of the Old Trafford faithful. Well they know what he's capable of now. Wow.

Just having a look at the replay, Bruno Fernandes didn't get a touch on the ball and it goes down as a David de Gea assist.

The Portuguese playmaker then goes into the book for a trip on Ivan Cavaleiro who was looking to burst clear.

They're getting closer! Theo Walcott goes past Kiko Casilla but the Leeds keeper does well to force him out wide and the danger is eventually cleared. Surely Marcelo Bielsa has to change something? It's on-way traffic.

Wow. Just wow. That's just quality. Pure quality. That is what a crowd deserve. A moment of quality from Cavani. Lovely little ball round the corner just on the half way line and then Cavani runs through, he takes a look up and sees Areola off his line. He must be 50 yards out when he hits the ball. It's not a dink, it's fired over Areola. If he dinks it Areola gets back. What a finish. Outstanding.

Saints fans didn't like that! Jack Harrison crunches into Moussa Djenepo after being dispossessed by his opponent. Djenepo is down in pain while Harrison is relieved to have escaped without a booking.

Man Utd 0-0 Fulham

United striker Edinson Cavani wants a penalty as he goes down in the box under close attention from Tosin but referee Lee Mason says no and VAR agrees with the original decision.

The only thing missing from Southampton's fast start is a goal. Where would they be in the table if fans had been allowed in the stadium all season? Their presence has really lifted the team.

I think Man Utd are just feeling their way into it. Fulham are sat back. They're not really pressing too much and are allowing Man Utd to have the ball at the back. Once they do get into forward positions there's an injection of pace as we so often see with the quality of Greenwood, Cavani and Bruno Fernandes.

Little to speak of in terms of goalmouth action.

Neither goalkeeper called into action so far.

Kindinu Kakumba: Good to see the fans back in the stands, they bring magic to every game.

After the earlier downpour, the sun has come out and Southampton are continuing with their high-tempo start.

Che Adams is putting himself about. He's proving a real handful.

Stuart Armstrong lets fly from outside the box. High and wide.

Normally, a home game with Fulham is not one of the most atmospheric games at Old Trafford.

It's pretty noisy tonight.

I'm told it is referee Lee Mason's last game as an on field official as he is taking over as a full-time VAR from next term.

Very little from Leeds so far in terms of attacking threat. Saints fans are loving this. They have seen their side have three attempts - one on target - in the opening seven minutes.

Chris Clee: I have missed the Southampton fans. Fake noise and simulated chants don't compare a full throated rendition of "We Hate Pompey".

Ah, I've missed that "oooooooh!!" sound from the fans.

Marauding full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka whips in a cross from the right which Paul Pogba meets with a towering header but the Frenchman can only direct his effort into the family stand.
