You have to say it came against the run of play, but Southampton grew into the game and deserve their one goal advantage.

Plenty of crosses for Spurs to deal with this half. The latest glances off a Wolves head in the middle but skips away from danger.

Spurs remain seemingly more than happy to relinquish the ball to Wolves. Ideally those long balls would connect, but they are very low percentage.

There can be no complaints about that one. Mason Greenwood wins another free-kick in a dangerous position after he was clattered by Romain Perraud on the edge of the D. This is Bruno Fernandes territory...

The officials are under instructions not to wait to give obvious decisions as they were instructed to last season but the marginal ones are still going to create confusion.

Marcal has needed a fair bit of treatment over two spells in this half. We'll have plenty of added time here.

The first booking. It goes to Japhet Tanganga, who flies in late on Marcal and leaves the Wolves player needing treatment.

You know what, I don't think Bergwijn was off for that earlier attack. Had he got his low cross right, VAR may have come into play in a significant way.
