Stuart Dillon: Really harsh criticism of Norwich on Final Score. The opening fixture list wasn't kind, Man City, Liverpool and Arsenal, today is a massive game for them.

I'm looking forward to seeing Aaron Ramsdale play. Leno hasn't done it for me; there is a big onus on him to make Arsenal better.

What is the formula, the plan [at Norwich]? What is acceptable to them? Is it staying up, having a right go? Judging by what they did in the summer, they let players go rather than get them in - well, players of certain standard.

I feel that they will always be battling at the bottom of the table. That is not good for any fan, to see them battle.

The visitors are on the ball early here, looking to dictate matters in the home half. They almost snatch an early lead too, with Nicolas Pepe heading wide after Nick Pope blocks Kieran Tierney's cross with his boot.

It's sunny at Anfield and maybe the Liverpool players thought they were on an all-inclusive holiday because they were half-asleep when Palace hit the post twice in as many minutes.

The Kop are trying to gee them up but the away fans have liked what they have seen so far.

It is a beautiful day and the pitch looks great. Burnley will be in Arsenal's faces and they'll have to stand up to that. I want to see some character from them today; they've got the talent. They're going to have questions asked of them.

    Crazy!

Liverpool make a right mess of trying to get the ball away, allowing it to be floated in to the box, poked towards goal by Wilfried Zaha and then pushed on to the post by Alisson.

Soon after, in a subsequent attack, Christian Benteke, back at Anfield, heads against the other post, but he is offside.

When the Manchester City players emerged for kick-off, they were greeted by rapturous applause from every side of the ground.

Pep Guardiola's words in midweek, when he asked more City fans to come to today's game caused a bit of controversy, but I don't think the Premier League champions have much to worry about, do you?

    Gareth Southgate is here today.

Obviously Ben White and Bukayo Saka are of interest - but Burnley keeper Nick Pope and central defender James Tarkowski will be on his radar too.

And while it might be a bit early for Emile Smith-Rowe, the Arsenal playmaker clearly has a bright future.

  20. Partey the key for Arsenal?published at 14:55 British Summer Time 18 September 2021

    Burnley v Arsenal (15:00 BST)

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Turf Moor

Arsenal eased some of the pressure on manager Mikel Arteta with their win over Norwich last weekend but they will be back in the relegation zone if they lose this one today.

Thomas Partey's first start of the season is welcome.

For all Arsenal's inconsistency, Partey has not been on the losing side since April last season.

The £45m Ghanaian midfielder has struggled with his fitness - Arteta needs him in his team as often as possible.
