    Breakthrough!

Watford lead at Carrow Road and it is all about the desire shown by Emmanuel Dennis here.

The Hornets forward wants this ball more than the three Norwich players who are caught on their heels.

Dennis is a menace with his run from deep, sprinting into the box and powering a header past Tim Krul following Kiko Fenenia's perfect delivery.

Burnley are on it now. Great ball from Westwood, free header for Barnes. He misses the target, but what a great chance. Ben White switched off.

Liam: How can Football Focus criticise Norwich so harshly after 4 games? They've played Man City, Liverpool, Leicester and Arsenal in first 4. Surely wait until they've played sides around the bottom before casting judgment

Liz Tray: Saints are doing what every team should do at our place: view the game as a loss and just have a go. Why not? Teams come and keep it tight and we figure it out and wear them down. So you may as well go at us. Smart manager

Palace had a quick break a few moments ago and you could almost hear the intake of breath from the Kop as James Milner was lining up for a one-on-one with Wilfried Zaha.

Milner, standing in for the ill Trent Alexander-Arnold, dealt with it brilliantly. He's had a busy 15 minutes so far.

Not seen anything of £100m man Jack Grealish in the opening 15 minutes but the former Villa skipper comes alive for the first time with a driving run down the left and earning City's first corner.

But the delivery is poor and the ball clips off Fernandinho's head and away for a goal kick.

    Burnley are growing into this.

A chipped ball into the box finds Ashley Barnes in pace but he can't steer his header on target. Tried to generate more power but lost the direction.

    Burnley 0-0 Arsenal

    Simon Stone

Arsenal have started quite brightly, with Kieran Tierney looking dangerous on the left and Thomas Partey trying to dictate affairs from his holding midfield berth.

But one decent ball forward from Burnley then unsettled the Gunners defence and offered Ashley Barnes a chance to shoot.

I have a feeling Arsenal's defence are going to be peppered with high balls.

If Pep Guardiola's plan was to get the Etihad crowd going today with what he said in midweek, it has worked. The home fans have not shut up since the game started.

On the pitch, Southampton have made a decent start and are making plenty of forays forward. It's an even battle so far.
