Manchester City goalscorer Gabriel Jesus, speaking to BT Sport: "We prepared to play well. We came to play against one of the best teams in Europe. They play so good and have a lot of amazing players. We knew it was going to be difficult for us. We played very well and won the game.

"Sometimes we don’t play well, but if we suffer a little bit we can attack. We have a lot of top players to create chances and try to score goals. That’s what I think we are."

On his second-half goal: "I turned well and I was able to shoot. I was a bit lucky but I’m very happy to score that goal. The most important thing is that everyone played so well."

The Leeds team is about as strong as they could expect with the resources they have available.

Raphinha playing is a huge plus for the home side. It's a big day for Charlie Cresswell, who was excellent in the League Cup against Fulham, but has a real test on his hands this afternoon.

It's also a big afternoon for Jamie Shackleton, who has been on the edges of the starting XI, but gets his chance with Luke Ayling absent.

No such concerns for West Ham. Their starting XI pretty much picks itself these days. Full of skill, pace, power and threat.

Will you look at that... the sun is out. No need to get the central heating just yet up here.

As well as ending Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side's unbeaten Premier League run this season, Aston Villa have also beaten Man Utd for the first time in the Premier League since 12th December 2009.

That puts a run of 17 games without a win to an end.

Chelsea pump the free-kick into the City box... but Ederson is out to gather it unchallenged.

And there's the final whistle. Massive win for Manchester City, after scoring the first Premier League goal Chelsea have conceded from open play this season.

Don't worry folks, can't see anyone running away with it this term. We may just have a proper title race on our hands!!

Manchester United fans cannot believe it. That was a shocking penalty by Bruno Fernandes. Aston Villa fans are in dreamland.

Cristiano Ronaldo stood back and allowed his compatriot to take that penalty. Not sure he'll be so kind next time.

Cesar Azpilicueta goes down while jumping for a header. Big shout from the home crowd. No chance of a penalty there though.

Azpilicueta's got cramp, that's all.

WHAT A TERRIBLE MISS.

Bruno Fernandes, that is a shocker.

The Portuguese skies his spot-kick high and wide. He's so often been Man Utd's hero from the penalty spot, but that was a terrible miss.

Edinson Cavani's header is blocked by the arm of goalscorer Kourtney Hause and Mike Dean points to the spot.

It's been checked by VAR and the decision stands.

He kisses his fist and punches it to the fans where there is absolute scenes at the away end here at Old Trafford!

Ederson rushes out to beat Kai Havertz to a long ball and wins the race to punch it clear (from inside his box, I might add!)

Some contact between the two and they both receive treatment.

We're now into stoppage time, with four minutes indicated, but we'll now have to go beyond that.

This time it's an inswinger from the right by Cesar Azpilicueta. Just too high for Romelu Lukaku at the back post, though, and it goes out for a goal-kick.
