  1. 'We played very well'published at 14:38 British Summer Time 25 September 2021

    FT: Chelsea 0-1 Man City

    Manchester City

Manchester City goalscorer Gabriel Jesus, speaking to BT Sport: "We prepared to play well. We came to play against one of the best teams in Europe. They play so good and have a lot of amazing players. We knew it was going to be difficult for us. We played very well and won the game.

"Sometimes we don’t play well, but if we suffer a little bit we can attack. We have a lot of top players to create chances and try to score goals. That’s what I think we are."

On his second-half goal: "I turned well and I was able to shoot. I was a bit lucky but I’m very happy to score that goal. The most important thing is that everyone played so well."

  2. Raphinha boost for under-strength Leedspublished at 14:37 British Summer Time 25 September 2021

Leeds v West Ham (15:00 BST)

    Phil Dawkes
    BBC Sport at Elland Road

The Leeds team is about as strong as they could expect with the resources they have available.

Raphinha playing is a huge plus for the home side. It's a big day for Charlie Cresswell, who was excellent in the League Cup against Fulham, but has a real test on his hands this afternoon.

It's also a big afternoon for Jamie Shackleton, who has been on the edges of the starting XI, but gets his chance with Luke Ayling absent.

No such concerns for West Ham. Their starting XI pretty much picks itself these days. Full of skill, pace, power and threat.

Will you look at that... the sun is out. No need to get the central heating just yet up here.

Tom: United fan. Congrats to Villa. Appallingly annoying from United. Frustrating doesn't cover the lack of imagination or consistency. Ole walking a tightrope at the moment.

Ed: Is Solksjaer's time up now? Spent a fortune on has-been's and young pretenders and can't even score against Villa!

Jamie: As a Man Utd fan I'm glad we lost, ole has no clue!!! How all the other managers have gone and they keep hold of this clueless manager!! All Ronaldo does is paper over all the cracks

    WHAT A TERRIBLE MISS.

Bruno Fernandes, that is a shocker.

The Portuguese skies his spot-kick high and wide. He's so often been Man Utd's hero from the penalty spot, but that was a terrible miss.

GOAL - Man Utd 0-1 Aston Villapublished at 14:17 British Summer Time 25 September 2021

    Kortney Hause

    What a header!

In comes the corner and it's Kortney Hause who gets away from Edinson Cavani and powers a header past David de Gea.

It's poor defending as Man Utd haven't got anyone on the near post, but it's well deserved from the visitors.

This time it's an inswinger from the right by Cesar Azpilicueta. Just too high for Romelu Lukaku at the back post, though, and it goes out for a goal-kick.

There's been no cohesion with Manchester United at all today, you have to applaud Villa who have had the better chances.

No sign of a goal yet but United have every attacking player they have on the pitch.
