  1. Hummels sent off for Dortmundpublished at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2021

    Borussia Dortmund 0-0 Ajax

Borussia Dortmund's Mats Hummels is shown a red card after going sliding in on Ajax's Brazilian winger Antony.

Replays show that the German defender doesn't catch Antony, who actually lands with his studs on Hummels shin.

A VAR check takes place and then confirms the decision. Fair to say that one is well up for debate.

    Man City 1-1 Club Bruges

A chance for Club Bruges' Scotland defender Jack Hendry but his header from a whipped in free-kick bounces into Ederson's arms.

This is a much tougher save from Ederson, who has to get down low to smother Charles de Ketelaere's swivel and shot in the box.

Dare I say... the Belgians are on top right now?

    Liverpool 2-0 Atletico Madrid

Sadio Mane wants a free-kick off Felipe but he's not given one. He felt he was being blocked but I don't think the Atletico man could have gone anywhere else!

    Liverpool 2-0 Atletico Madrid

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain threatens a driving run but gives it away in the middle.

Liverpool recover well, it's played over to Mohamed Salah and he dances past Mario Hermoso, before eventually losing out to Jan Oblak on the byline.

Manchester City are on a club record run of scoring in 27 consecutive European home games.

The last time they failed to do so was the 2016 Champions League semi-final first leg against Real Madrid (0-0).

    Man City 1-1 Club Bruges

Funny to think if John Stones had a holographic face, Manchester City would still be leading.

City keeper Ederson has only touched the ball six times.

  8. Postpublished at 20:27 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2021

Yannick Carrasco is starting to look busy. He pulls the cross from the left back too far though and Virgil van Dijk sees it go past him in the box.

  10. They don't like Liverpool herepublished at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2021

    Man City 1-1 Club Bruges

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport at the Etihad Stadium

The visiting fans just gave a rendition of 'You'll Never Walk Alone'.

The Manchester City fans responded with a lot of jeering.

  11. Postpublished at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2021

    Liverpool 2-0 Atletico Madrid

Yannick Carrasco does well on the left for Atletico and manages to get a shot off but Jordan Henderson blocks it in the box.

Kostas Tsimikas then concedes a corner with a hasty clearance.

  12. 'Mane is a predator'published at 20:25 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2021

    Liverpool 2-0 Atletico Madrid

    Dion Dublin
Former Manchester United striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Sadio Mane, that is absolutely outstanding. The tenacity to hold onto the ball... He's in front of Diego Simeone and you can see Simeone thinking 'get someone in behind him, don't let him get in-field' but Mane carries it.

He nudges it on to Jordan Henderson, who nudges it on to Mohamed Salah and it gets dropped to Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Alexander-Arnold actually shoots but doesn't catch his shot correctly - but who is there following the pass in? Sadio Mane. He's a proper, proper predator.

  13. Wijnaldum with his first for PSGpublished at 20:25 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2021

    RB Leipzig 1-1 PSG

So far so good for Liverpool and a big moment for one of their former players - Georginio Wijnaldum has his first goal for Paris St-Germain, stabbing in Kylian Mbappe's square pass.

  14. Postpublished at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2021

    Borussia Dortmund 0-0 Ajax

The hosts were very much in charge in the opening 20 minutes and they really should be ahead.

Defender Mats Hummels headed wide when totally unmarked and England midfielder Jude Bellingham has also missed an absolute sitter, heading wide of an empty net from six yards out under very little pressure.

  15. Postpublished at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2021

    Man City 1-1 Club Bruges

A Club Bruges cross comes in and John Stones heads it.... out for a corner. The Belgian side have been revitalised by that og.

  16. CLOSE!published at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2021

    Liverpool 2-0 Atletico Madrid

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain almost makes it three!

It falls for him in the box and he tries to curl it into the bottom left corner.

Trent Alexander-Arnold was running onto it and probably had the better angle!

  17. Another Alexander-Arnold assistpublished at 20:23 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2021

    Liverpool 2-0 Atletico Madrid

    Chris Bevan
    BBC Sport at Anfield

The Liverpool fans in the Anfield Road stand yelled "shooooot" just before Trent Alexander-Arnold's ball into the box for Liverpool's second goal. Surely they should be shouting "cross" at him instead?

  18. Postpublished at 20:21 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2021

    Man City 1-1 Club Bruges

Still a long way to go but if this ended up as a draw, City would only be two points above third-placed Club Bruges.

  19. goal

GOAL - Liverpool 2-0 Atletico Madridpublished at 20:21 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2021

    Sadio Mane (21 mins)

Sadio Mane starts the move and ends it.

He cuts inside off the left, using his strength well to beat two players before laying it off to Jordan Henderson.

It goes over to Trent Alexander-Arnold and again, the full-back puts it on a plate for Mane to slide home from close range.

Liverpool look on fire at the moment. What a start!
