Richard Browne: Astounding to see a referee not willing to put up with Simeone shenanigans. About time.
Josh: More refs should do that. Ridiculous behaviour from the Athletico player. Dissent is ignoring the ref too.
Dawesy: Brilliant refereeing in the Liverpool game. Should be the way that players respect the ref.

The visitors have some very quick, skilful attacking players who can cause Manchester City problems.
Club Bruges problem is that City look like they could open they up every time they go forward.
It's really open.
Man City 1-1 Club Bruges
Well, not that well. The corner goes nowhere and Jack Grealish can't keep it in.
Man City 1-1 Club Bruges
Another slick City move, another corner. They're ending the half well.

If it stays like this - there is another red card in this game.
Liverpool 2-0 Atletico Madrid
Mohamed Salah spins away on the right and smashes a decent effort towards goal.
It's pushed away by Jan Oblak.
Kostas Tsimikas then curls a cross in from the left and Diogo Jota's header from close range is kept out by Oblak.

Club Bruges are keeping Man City at bay to a certain extent - they look quite comfortable when City play the ball in this slow manner, it suits Bruges but when City up the tempo that little bit they do look dangerous.
Man City 1-1 Club Bruges
Good probing from City, better. Bernardo Silva flicks the ball into Kyle Walker's path but the England defender's cross is put behind before Ilkay Gundogan can get there.
The corner is a simple catch for Simon Mignolet.
Liverpool 2-0 Atletico Madrid
Still trying to make sense of what happened!
Felipe was shown a straight red for a mixture of the tackle and dissent.
Either way, Liverpool are two goals and a man up. They are absolutely cruising and it's only 40 minutes in.

The Retrospective: Never in a million years is that a straight red for Felipe on Mane. I cannot believe the ref has given that.

Felipe has got to be a metre and a half away from Sadio Mane and he's just kicked his back legs and swept him up.
You don't always see those given - I was expecting a yellow.
Borussia Dortmund 1-0 Ajax
Borussia Dortmund may be down to 10 men but they are ahead from the penalty spot.
Ajax defender Noussair Mazraoui makes the faintest of contact with Jude Bellingham as he runs into the box and down he goes.
Marco Reus steps up and confidently finds the bottom left corner.
Man City 1-1 Club Bruges
A lovely control and flick over a defender's head from Bernardo Silva but then his pass is cut out.
Simon Mignolet hasn't made a save yet.
Liverpool 2-0 Atletico Madrid
This referee really is the business.
He was preparing a yellow card but Felipe ignored him on three occasions when he was summoned.
The referee has enough and whips out the red card. You wouldn't want to mess with him!
Luis Suarez and Koke are shown yellow cards a few moments after for two separate incidents of back chat and sloppy tackling!

Mohamed Salah should've passed there - Diogo Jota was running in at pace, he should've rolled it into his path and he had a one on one with the keeper.
Salah was probably thinking 'well you've already got one'!
Liverpool 2-0 Atletico Madrid
Oh wow!
Sadio Mane is breaking for Liverpool and he's kicked in the heel by Felipe.
It's a straight red from the referee, not a yellow. Did Felipe bite back at him!?
Liverpool 2-0 Atletico Madrid
Slip him in! Noooooo.
Mohamed Salah should play it in for Diogo Jota but he keeps hold of it and loses the ball.
Liverpool had a three-on-two and Jota would have been clean through. Salah apologises immediately.
Man City 1-1 Club Bruges
Phil Foden has a shot blocked in the box. City's tempo has dropped off so much since their goal.
