Manchester United caretaker manager Michael Carrick, speaking to BT Sport: "We came here to win and I believed we would, that we were ready. It wasn't an easy game because they're a good team and they make you work. The boys dug in and had to do that at times. I was delighted with them.
"I don't think we could have hoped to come out and play pretty football from the word go and in some ways that was the best way to win - we had to show character and fight. We got back together and the subs made a massive impact.
"I've enjoyed the whole thing. It's not been an easy couple of days but it feels like the result is for Ole. We had a job to do, things needed to be taken care of and I was happy to do it. Thankfully it all went OK in the end."
Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand on BT Sport: "Managers that depart in the way Ole Gunnar Solskjaer did know there's going to be a bounce in the squad and something might happen.
"This performance was more about soaking up the pressure and it reminded me of when Ole first took charge before he had actually signed a contract and they went on that incredible run. I'm sure that on Saturday against Chelsea the performance will be a replica of that second-half performance."
Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes on BT Sport: "Michael Carrick will be really happy. I'm sure he'll be thinking about Chelsea on Sunday now that is out the way. It was a disciplined performance and a great win. It is a big bonus to go through the group with a game in hand."

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, speaking to BT Sport: "We wanted to stay patient but at the same time not fall asleep. We wanted to increase the rhythm and intensity. It's so tough to create and score but we created so much. An amazing performance and a fantastic result.
"We were sharper than in Turin, we trook more risks, something we lacked in Turin. By control you cannot hurt them - you need to penetrate with runs off the ball. We were very good and scored nice goals.
"I feel very aware that we do the invisible work and when we have to defend we really defend and dig in."
Former Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole on BT Sport: "Juventus will get on the plane and be happy that it was only four. That was a step up from what I saw on Saturday against Leicester. You remember that Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner weren't starting. That is £150m worth of talent and they still score four past Juventus. You start to run out of words. Top of the Premier League, top of their Champions League group, champions of Europe and with a team full of academy graduates."
Former Liverpool and Real Madrid midfielder Steve McManaman: "Juventus will not want to play any of the English sides. Coming out of Serie A, they are nowhere near good enough too threaten them."
Former England and GB international Karen Carney on BBC Radio 5 Live: "We know how much Chelsea have spent since the owners came in but to see the young players coming through and flourishing and seeing the investment from the academy - what a joy that is. For a long time it was only John Terry who had come through. The amount of goals the young players are contributing is great to see.
"I thought Reece James was the best player on the pitch by a country mile and there's so much more for him to learn and grow, I can't wait for him to keep going."
