  1. Too big to failpublished at 16:49 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November 2021

Let's be honest, the way that football has gone, as one of the Premier League's true elite with all the money and power they could wish for, Manchester United are simply too big to fail. Properly fail, I mean. To their expectant supporters, what they are currently going through is a sort of failure, but they'll never go down. They'll always be in the mix for the Champions League, even if they ultimately fall short.

In fact, what we're seeing right now is probably as bad as it gets for Manchester United.

Tonight, they head to Spain to take on Villarreal, knowing that a win or a draw in the two games in Group F will take them through.

  2. All gone wrong...published at 16:47 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November 2021

Manchester United. The Premier League's most successful side. The club with a squad that cost more than anyone else. And just look at the state they've got themselves into.

It wasn't that long ago that Ole was at the wheel and Gary Neville was asking him where he wanted the statue of himself built and how long he wanted his contract to be? He got a new three-year one in the summer, along with the signings of Ronaldo, Sancho and Varane, but we're not even in December yet and he's gone and the club are scrambling to salvage something from the season.

So who's next on the wheel? Is the wheel even attached to the vehicle anymore? The four on the bottom of it certainly don't appear to be.
