A triple substitution for Inter Milan as Simone Inzaghi looks to get a goal to take us to extra time.

Goalscorer Lautaro Martinez is among those heading off, along with Marcelo Brozovic and Denzel Dumfries.

On come Roberto Gagliardini, Matteo Darmian and Joaquin Correa. Still no sign of Edin Dzeko yet.

Liverpool 0-1 Inter Milan (2-1 on aggregate)

Jordan Henderson gets involved in a tangle with Ivan Perisic as the ball is bouncing between them.

Perisic takes exception to Henderson's challenge, but the England international is a bit lucky to have not made contact with his high foot.

He may have been in a bit of trouble if he had connected. No action taken though, we continue.

Liverpool 0-1 Inter Milan (2-1 on aggregate)

Liverpool have now hit the crossbar, the right-hand post and the left-hand post.

That would have surely settled it and it's a fine pass from substitute Naby Keita and Handanovic is beaten but for the second time this half, Mohamed Salah sees a strike bounce off an upright.

Blame Smith: I think all neutral football fans would love Liverpool to go down here, Inter have been great.

Ar Vind: Liverpool’s complacency could cost this match. Mane has been silent all night.

Liverpool 0-1 Inter Milan (2-1 on aggregate)

Immediately after that red card for Inter Milan, Jurgen Klopp made a couple of changes in Liverpool's midfield with Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita coming on to tighten things up, Thiago Alcantara and Curtis Jones the men replaced.

Sadio Mane, who has had a quiet game, becomes the third Liverpool man, after Andy Robertson and Diogo Jota, to pick up a booking.

Having seen the replay I can see why Alexis Sanchez is so disappointed. He gets to the ball first but it's his follow-though. It's a difficult one to take for him. It's debatable for me as there's no intent to hurt the player whatsoever.

Inter's players are still having little meetings trying to work out what they do now.

An incredible passage of play. That was an outstanding finish from outside the box by Lautaro Martinez which gave Alisson no chance but Liverpool's tails are now up after the red card to Alexis Sanchez.

  20. RED CARD - Alexis Sanchez (Inter Milan)published at 21:26 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March 2022

Liverpool 0-1 Inter Milan (2-1 on aggregate)

Just when Inter Milan had got themselves back into this tie, they go down to 10 men.

Alexis Sanchez, the former Arsenal and Manchester United man, was booked in first half injury time and gets a second yellow.

He is sliding in, for a challenge with Fabinho, and Sanchez gets to the ball first but on the follow-through catches the Liverpool man on the ankle and Sanchez is off.

Inter's bench are furious and a member of their coaching team talks himself into trouble and also gets dismissed.

    It's all happening now!
