  1. Sporting not making much attacking impactpublished at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2022

Man City 0-0 Sporting (5-0 agg)

    Chris Bevan
    BBC Sport at Etihad Stadium

So far, Sporting have managed two touches in the City area and zero shots, but their fans don't seem to care - by the looks of things they would be bouncing up and down and waving their scarves if they were waiting 20 minutes for a Manchester tram (which they probably will be later, let's face it), and they are just happy to be here.

The home crowd are enjoying themselves too, and have just been comparing Sporting to Manchester United... in quite unfavourable fashion for both teams.

PSG were trying to keep the ball in the wrong area. If a Madrid forward had been anticipating they'd be a goal up.

Not sure what Marquinhos playing at!

He fluffs an attempted back heel and Real are in on the left through David Alba, who crosses across the face of goal but fortunately for Marquinhos a team-mate is there to clear.

That could have been much more damaging.

Moshe: I have a feeling that the ridiculous decision to scrap away goals will play a part in this tie Real Madrid vs PSG.

Man City 0-0 Sporting (5-0 agg)

It was only a matter of time before City won it back off Sporting. Their pressing has been relentless.

It's Phil Foden who gets the touch and it's laid off to Raheem Sterling on the left but he can't make anything of it. Sporting go long, Paulinho's touch is decent but Ederson reacts smartly and mops up the danger.

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:28 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2022

Real Madrid 0-0 PSG (0-1 agg)

Oh my! What a save by Gianluigi Donnarumma!

The ball spills to Karim Benzema on the edge of the area and he bends a first-time shot that looks destined to fly just inside the far post but Donnarumma dives to get his fingertips to it and that's enough to push it wide.

  7. Laporte's 'vulnerability'published at 20:27 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2022

Man City 0-0 Sporting (5-0 agg)

    Izzy Christiansen
England and Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

That for me is Aymeric Laporte's vulnerability, the runners in behind him. I think for any team looking to exploit that Manchester City back four - that's the way through.

    City are getting closer...

John Stones gets his head on a free-kick from the right but it's slightly too high and he can only nod it up into the air before it's cleared.

Fernandinho then sends one in for Ilkay Gundogan but it's punched away by the keeper.

Real Madrid 0-0 PSG (0-1 agg)

Boos and jeers ring out around the Bernabeu as Real fans start to get frustrated as PSG enjoy a good spell of possession now.

Real Madrid 0-0 PSG (0-1 agg)

Neymar and Kylian Mbappe have switched sides as they keep the Real defence on their toes. Neymar then has a bit of space on the edge of the area and prods a low effort goalwards that Thibaut Courtois has to strech to hold.

That's three saves for the Real goalkeeper so far. The hosts have had the possession but PSG have had the better chances.

  11. CLOSE!published at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2022

Man City 0-0 Sporting (5-0 agg)

Oooh. City's best chance so far. It's fizzed in low from the right and Raheem Sterling is inches from getting a toe on it.

Luis Neto does just enough to put him off. Phil Foden then stings the fingertips of Antonio Adan with an effort from the edge of the box.

  12. 'Silva is ridiculous'published at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2022

Man City 0-0 Sporting (5-0 agg)

    Izzy Christiansen
England and Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Bernardo Silva is one hell of a player by the way, he's ridiculous.

  13. Postpublished at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2022

Man City 0-0 Sporting (5-0 agg)

Goncalo Inacio sees some space left by Fernandinho and almost sneaks in for Sporting but City deal with it comfortably at the back.

Phil Foden then skips through the middle but it rolls through to the keeper. Sporting respond with a quick break and Islam Slimani stays onside. Aymeric Laporte forces him wide and Slimani can't pick out Paulinho in the centre.

  14. Postpublished at 20:21 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2022

Real Madrid 0-0 PSG (0-1 agg)

There's just signs now that PSG are getting to see more of the ball and are feeling more comfortable pushing higher up the pitch.

They are on the attack as Lionel Messi slips the ball to Marco Verratti, who in turn feeds Neymar on the edge of the area. He shifts the ball onto his other foot before firing a shot against a defender before Danilo Pereira fires well wide.

  15. City still waiting for their first shotpublished at 20:19 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2022

Man City 0-0 Sporting (5-0 agg)

    Chris Bevan
    BBC Sport at Etihad Stadium

With 20 minutes gone, City are in total control possession-wise but have yet to have a shot at goal, which is very unlike them. By this stage in the first leg, they were already 2-0 up.

Fernandinho has been heavily involved so far. He links up with Bernardo Silva, who spins nicely in the middle to find Phil Foden but the ball isn't on, so it's switched across the back.

  17. Postpublished at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2022

Man City 0-0 Sporting (5-0 agg)

Manuel Ugarte is chased down by Phil Foden in the corner. The City man thinks he's won possession and is about to drive into the box before it's pulled back for a free-kick. He's fuming!

  18. Postpublished at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2022

Real Madrid 0-0 PSG (0-1 agg)

    Jonathan Woodgate
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Marco Verratti is so calm on the ball. He just needs to get hold of it for PSG.

Real Madrid are really pressing high and getting close to Kylian Mbappe and Neymar to stop them getting turned and running at them.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2022

Real Madrid 0-0 PSG (0-1 agg)

Again Kylian Mbappe gets away from the Real defence and he has just Thibaut Courtois to beat. The angle is tight, however, and he hits his shot straight at the Real goalkeeper.

Another warning shot for the hosts that this PSG side are a real danger when they do attack.
