Tom Barkhuizen looks the most likely home player to cause a bit of mischief. He gets away down the right and forces a block.

It's so far, so good for Preston. They've not had much of the ball but the goalkeeper has not had to make a save yet.

It's a similar approach from Liverpool, who are just waiting for the right moment to pounce. Toying with the the home side like a cat with a ball of wool.

Liverpool are just probing all the time. The two full-backs are pushed up really, really high. Gomez and Matip are controlling things at the back and just looking for little balls into feet.

It won't surprise you to learn that Liverpool are camped in the Preston half. They fashion a chance for Harvey Blair but the angle is tight and he flashes his shot wide.

Brentford have charged out of the blocks this season and they almost take an early lead at Stoke. The ball is swung into the mixer from the right but Ivan Toney can't steer the ball in from close range. I'll be honest, he should have scored.

An early chance for Spurs at Turf Moor. Harry Kane is found and gets goal side of the home defence, but he pulls his effort wide of the far post.

It's a grim old evening in Lancashire too. Plenty of rain has fallen on this Deepdale pitch, which will add a bit of zip.

It's not Liverpool's first-team, but this still threatens to be a long night for Preston.
