Ben: As a Tottenham fan I've enjoyed this performance overall. Respecting West Ham, building a solid base, not conceding, growing into the game. It's like watching a proper football team again! Gonna win this second half.

Both sides are just nullifying each other at the moment.

Spurs have probably had the better game plan because they are stifling West Ham out and not allowing them to do what they do well. West Ham haven't been able to be dynamic.

Both sides will say they want to be better in the final third and three points are definitely available. It is about desire now.

It is right tight and like a chess game. Who will make that first move?

  6. Liverpool, the 'forgotten' title contenders?published at 14:56 British Summer Time 24 October 2021

There was a strange dynamic in the summer when everybody was predicting a two-way title race between Manchester City and Chelsea.

Of 20 BBC pundits, 13 tipped City and seven tipped Chelsea, with nobody expecting Liverpool to win the title.

One expert even predicted Liverpool would not finish in the top four.

But Liverpool won the 2019-20 Premier League title by 18 points - and were 33 points above third place.

They finished in third, 17 points behind City last season - but they were hindered by several defensive injuries, most notably to Virgil van Dijk.

The Dutch centre-back has now returned and Liverpool are unbeaten in 12 games in all competitions this season, scoring 36 goals.

  7. 'Pogba and Ronaldo need the right team-mates to be stars'published at 14:53 British Summer Time 24 October 2021

Man Utd v Liverpool (16:30 BST)

    Bastian Schweinsteiger
Former Manchester United and Germany midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

I agree with Leonardo Bonucci that Juventus have got better without Cristiano Ronaldo. Wherever Ronaldo goes he is the main focus, but if you watched Juventus before he went there they performed as a team and as an XI.

The question is how do you manage that sort of player in your team? It is the same with Paul Pogba. When he is with France he is always playing at the highest level but is he playing at that level for Manchester United? I don't think. The question is how do you get those kind of players bring their best performances?

It is about having the right team-mates. Then those types of players can be geniuses and stars. That is why I loved playing with Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic because they are game changers.

Harry Kane had just 17 touches in that first half, the least of any Spurs' outfield players.

That late header that was tipped over was his sole touch in the West Ham penalty area.

The ball was hanging and high so it gave Harry Kane the chance to get high and above Aaron Cresswell. Lukasz Fabianski gets a good hand on it.

    It is a big chance.

Haha, "get on the weights". Love that. Cristian Romero might want to get a 'sesh' in with Michail Antonio during the week.

Michail Antonio says "get on the weights" to Cristian Romero.

He just tries to be a little bit too precise with the finish and sends it wide. You'd expect him to score there with the form he is in.

How do you deal with Michail Antonio??

The West Ham striker shrugs Cristian Romero - a grown man - off the ball like he's a little child.

The Jamaica international is then able to make his way into the box but a resulting shot is wild and doesn't cause Hugo Lloris any issues.

Paul: No wonder Kane wanted out for a man city team who are creative. Spurs are so slow. Plenty of passing between their defence minded players but little in terms of creativity and penetration which is why Kane ends up dropping into midfield a lot. He needs service!

Better this from Spurs and Tanguy Ndombele will feel he should have done better, getting a free run on Sergio Reguilon's cross but heading straight at Lukasz Fabianski.

This ball is spinning on the edge of the box like an Adil Rashid 'doosra', Tanguy Ndombele does his best to try and judge the bounce, managing to arc his body into a position to get a shot away but it deflects wide for a corner.

Spurs can't make anything of the set-piece.
