Time to switch our attentions to the rest of the day's EFL action.

It's a packed day with 11 more Championship games and a full programme in League One and League Two.

    Let's get into it...

    Hull City 1-3 Sheff Utd

Three goals and three points for Sheffield United.

Billy Sharp gave them a first half lead on his 300th appearance for the club before seeing a penalty well saved by Matt Igram.

After the break John Egan headed home from two Conor Hourihane corners to put the game beyond the Tigers before Keane Lewis-Potter finally ended their long wait for a goal.

Hull, who had not scored since the opening day prior to Lewis-Potter's late consolation, stuck at it but they were always second best in this one.

They travel to Stoke next week looking to get their season going, while the Blades have scored 11 goals in their past three games and look like they're heading in the other direction.

We're into five minutes of time added on.

Rhian Brewster has another go from outside the area and again it is straight at home goalkeeper Matt Ingram.

The former Liverpool man is STILL looking for his first league goal for the Blades but he's certainly not been shy of trying today.

Down the other end Lewie Coyle comes in off the right and tries to find the top corner with his less favoured left foot and does not.

    Hull City 1-3 Sheff Utd

The game is just kind of petering out at the moment to be honest with you.

If that Tyler Smith goal had stood for the home side a few minutes ago we could have been in for a real grandstand finish but there's been next to nothing of note since then as the Blades have taken the sting out of it.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 85 mins

    Hull City 1-3 Sheff Utd

That's the end of Ben Davies' day.

The Sheffield United defender makes way for Chris Basham.

    Slavisa JokanovicImage source, PA Media

Sheffield United are really looking up now.

This will be seven points from their past three matches and they host beleaguered Derby next Saturday.

It took a few games but Slavisa Jokanovic has got this side going now.

  8. Postpublished at 80 mins

    Hull City 1-3 Sheff Utd

Hull City boss Grant McCann will be pleased with how his side reacted after going 3-0 down.

It would have been easy for them to have capitulated but they've dug in, got a goal back and they were a very tight offside call from getting this back to 3-2.

  9. Postpublished at 77 mins

    Hull City 1-3 Sheff Utd

Hull have the ball in the net for a second time but Tyler Smith's effort is ruled out for offside.

It looks REALLY tight but probably just about the right call.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 76 mins

    Hull City 1-3 Sheff Utd

Sheffield United captain Billy Sharp's 300th appearance for the Blades ends with one goal and one saved penalty.

    He's off for Oli McBurnie.

  11. goal

GOAL: Hull City 1-3 Sheff Utdpublished at 14:08 British Summer Time 18 September 2021

    Keane Lewis-Potter (74 mins)

    Hull City have scored!!!

Keane Lewis-Potter rifles home from sub Tyler Smith's low cross.

That's Hull's first goal since the opening day of the season.

    Hull City 0-3 Sheff Utd

    Hmmm.

Mallik Wilks gets away from Rhys Norrington-Davies really easily and he's running in on goal.

The Tigers forward goes down under very little contact and the referee isn't interested. It didn't look like a penalty to me I have to say.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 14:04 British Summer Time 18 September 2021

    Hull City 0-3 Sheff Utd

Hull City make their final change.

George Moncur is off and Tyler Smith, who joined the Tigers from the Blades last month, is on.

  14. YELLOW CARDpublished at 67 mins

    Hull City 0-3 Sheff Utd

Adlene Guedioura's just been booked inside two minutes of coming on for a foul.

The Sheffield United player is making his first appearance in English football in over two years and he needs to be careful that it doesn't come to a very unsatisfactory ending.

  15. Postpublished at 66 mins

    Hull City 0-3 Sheff Utd

    Chance for Hull.

Mallik Wilks does well to hang up a cross to the back post that is headed down for George Moncur but Ben Davies does brilliantly to dive in and block to shot.

  16. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 65 mins

    Hull City 0-3 Sheff Utd

Adlene Guedioura was not on the team sheet today but Sander Berge had to pull out in the warm-up so the Algerian was moved on to the bench.

He's now making his Blades debut in place of Conor Hourihane.

  17. Postpublished at 63 mins

    Hull City 0-3 Sheff Utd

That's now 11 goals in less than three games for Sheffield United.

There's just under 30 minutes to go in this one and I would not back against the Blades scoring more today.

  18. goal

GOAL: Hull City 0-3 Sheff Utdpublished at 13:55 British Summer Time 18 September 2021

    John Egan (61 mins)

John Egan celebratesImage source, PA Media

Another corner. Another John Egan goal!

As with the second goal, Conor Hourihane swings it in from the Blades right and Egan heads in.

I've got absolutely no idea why the Tigers have had the big Irishman marked by Mallik Wilks, who is... well, not big.

  19. Postpublished at 60 mins

    Hull City 0-2 Sheff Utd

Lovely, lovely stuff from Morgan Gibbs-White.

The tricky forward shows brilliant skill to fashion space for a shot from 25 yards and his fierce effort is well tipped over the bar by Hull goalkeeper Matt Ingram.

  20. YELLOW CARDpublished at 57 mins

    Hull City 0-2 Sheff Utd

A third booking since the break.

Richie Smallwood tugs Rhian Brewster back as the ex-Liverpool man looked to run away from him down the Blades left.
