There were some belters to boot; Alex Mowatt, Duncan Watmore, Alex Vallejo... take your pick.

Anyway, once you've rested up tonight, we can do it all again tomorrow.

Stoke meanwhile climb a place despite being held to a draw at Preston but Blackburn's slip up at Huddersfield sees them lose the chance to climb the table.

At the other end, a point for Hull lifts them up a place above Nottingham Forest.

A massive result for Sunderland and you give the fans something to go on for the rest of the week.

They are a massive club, with the fans and the infrastructure. The Championship is the least they should be.

    FT: Morecambe 2-0 Lincoln City

    Sanny Rudravajhala
Presenter, Squad Goals at Mazuma Stadium

3,466 supporters were here and bar the 241 Lincoln City fans, they’ll be heading home happy.

They’ve been in fine voice and Morecambe have given their fans something to shout about.

It’s a really impressive performance from The Shrimps. Continually productive in the final third and defensively outstanding.

As for Lincoln City, tonight was maybe a game too far. They looked lively but the Morecambe back line stayed strong.

If anyone thought Morecambe were in League One just to make up the numbers, they’re being proved wrong. They finish the night three points off a play-off spot.

    Huddersfield 3-2 Blackburn

What a sensational game, and it's Huddersfield who collect their fifth win of the season to go level on points with Blackburn.

Town showed character to keep recovering the lead, Alex Vallejo and two Danny Ward goals enough to win it.

Blackburn looked like they had a point in the bag when Ben Brereton Diaz scored twice to pull level.

Yet it was snatched by Ward late on. Hard on Rovers, but a corking game all the same.

    Hull 1-1 Blackpool

Ten-man Hull City come up with a point after Tom Eaves levelled things up after Blackpool's Shayne Lavery opened the scoring in the first-half.

It all came after Lewie Coyle's dismissal too, which makes it even more impressive from the Tigers.

    All square.

    Middlesbrough 2-0 Sheff Utd

Big win for former Blades boss Neil Warnock against his boyhood club for Middlesbrough, who beat Sheffield United 2-0.

It's a morale-boosting win for a Boro side who have struggled of late.

The Blades were subdued really. Disappointing for the promotion chasers after an upturn under Slavisa Jokanovic.

A fifth successive draw for Preston.

    Middlesbrough 2-0 Sheff Utd

Middlesbrough have done a great job here. Defensively rock solid against a Sheffield United side in decent form.

Marcus Tavernier still carrying a threat too.

Morgan Gibbs-White crosses to the back-post for the Blades but David McGoldrick's header back is hacked away.

    Tom Eaves (84 mins)

    SUPER SUB!

Crucial goal for Hull who have just gone down to 10-men, and it comes from big Tom Eaves who steps off the bench to hammer his side level.

Nice work from Keane Lewis-Potter to tee it up.
