    QPR 1-0 Birmingham City

The weather is absolutely dismal in west London early in the second half.

Think we had some of that a bit earlier in my part of the world.

Jeremie Bela had a go from range for Birmingham in a bid to draw them level but his effort went wide of Seny Dieng's goal.

    Huddersfield 1-0 Blackburn

Ben Brereton Diaz is proving an outlet for Blackburn in the second half but unable to squeeze the ball beyond Lee Nicholls.

One shot was charged down too. He's getting involved though.

  3. Postpublished at 20:54 British Summer Time 28 September 2021

    Hull 0-1 Blackpool

Lewie Coyle gets an effort away for Hull as they chase an equaliser early in the second half, but his shot zips wide.

    Middlesbrough 2-0 Sheff Utd

Sheffield United have brought on David McGoldrick to try to turn the tide, but it's Middlesbrough who almost get in first in the second half.

Andraz Sporar attracts the referee's assistant's flag. Then Billy Sharp is also flagged at the other end.

    Back up and running again...

How many more goals will we see in these second halves?

  6. Postpublished at 20:48 British Summer Time 28 September 2021

Let's hope it's not a Blue Tuesday for either Morecambe or Lincoln fans come full-time......

Anyway, second halves will be getting under way shortly in both the Championship and League One.

Stick with us to see how they unfold.

New Order’s True Faith played the players off the pitch at half-time.

Both sides have tried to be positive, but are cancelling each other out.

There’s two players on the pitch with 10 goals each this season - I used to think that the day would never come when I’d see no delight on the face of Anthony Scully or Cole Stockton.

    45 minutes to change that!

There’s only a small terrace along one one side of the ground running the length of the pitch here.

I don’t know how many they usually lose at Morecambe, but the lost ball count currently stands at two.

Agricultural clearances result in them landing in the neighbours’ back gardens.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:35 British Summer Time 28 September 2021

    Hull 0-1 Blackpool

Shayne Lavery's sixth of the season has given Blackpool the lead at Hull City.

Arrowed his volley home at the back end of the half.

    It's been a soggy night.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:35 British Summer Time 28 September 2021

    Middlesbrough 2-0 Sheff Utd

Very impressive performance from Middlesbrough after the limp nature of their weekend defeat by Reading.

They've been sharp, they've been effective. They've opened the visitors' defence up with ease. Goals from Duncan Watmore and Paddy McNair have been reward.

Sheffield United have played some decent stuff but not cutting edge for the Blades yet. Nearest they've come was when Iliman Ndiaye smacked a post.

  14. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 British Summer Time 28 September 2021

    Huddersfield 1-0 Blackburn

Alex Vallejo's ripsnorter is enough to put Huddersfield a goal up at the break and they've been excellent.

Blackburn are a threat too but no goals so far in an entertaining scrap at the John Smith's Stadium.

  15. League One updatepublished at 20:34 British Summer Time 28 September 2021

Sunderland's 100% record at home is not under threat this evening. Ross Stewart has his second of the evening and it's now 3-0. It's a long drive home from Wearside to Cheltenham!

It's now Scott Twine 2 Gerard Garner 2 at Stadium MK with MK Dons equalising for a second time with Fleetwood.

There has been an equaliser at the Valley where Oladapo Afolayan has levelled for Bolton at Charlton.

A regular route to goal for Rotherham where Michael Smith has headed in from a corner. They now lead AFC Wimbledon 2-0.

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:33 British Summer Time 28 September 2021

    Preston 1-1 Stoke City

A goal apiece in an eventful first 45 at Deepdale.

Nick Powell's deft early header cancelled out by Ben Whiteman's brillliant direct free-kick.

There's been plenty more chances as well as those too.

  17. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:32 British Summer Time 28 September 2021

    Cardiff City 0-1 West Brom

Karlan Grant's early thunderstrike on his right peg sees West Brom ahead and heading back to the top of the Championship as it stands.

  18. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:32 British Summer Time 28 September 2021

    QPR 1-0 Birmingham City

Ilias Chair with the only goal of the first half at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium has the hosts ahead.

GOAL: Hull 0-1 Blackpoolpublished at 20:30 British Summer Time 28 September 2021

    Shayne Lavery (42 mins)

Superb opener for Blackpool over at Hull.

The visitors slipped the ball out to the left flank and Demetri Mitchell curls the ball into the middle.

Shayne Lavery meets it on the run, volleying emphatically past Matt Ingram into the roof of the net.

Sixth of the season and the Tangerines dream of success.

    Huddersfield 1-0 Blackburn

Good work from Blackburn to get in down the Huddersfield right, but as John Buckley sweeps in a cross to the back-post, Ben Brereton Diaz's header is acrobatically saved by Lee Nicholls in the Town goal.
