    Morecambe 2-0 Lincoln City

Presenter, Squad Goals at Mazuma Stadium

Scott Wootton with the second goal of the night for Morecambe from a free-kick into the box.

It was headed across goal and centre-half Wooton, up from the back, picked up the ball to stab home on the turn.

Lincoln are looking short of ideas - Morecambe look like they’ve sewn this up.

  2. goal

GOAL: Huddersfield 3-2 Blackburnpublished at 21:29 British Summer Time 28 September 2021

    Danny Ward (84 mins)

What a game?! Huddersfield find a route to goal for the third time and might just have put it to bed.

It was just 30 seconds after Blackburn had threatened at the other end but some brilliant counter-attack play, involving Lewis O'Brien, took them right up the other end.

Ollie Turton put the ball in, Harry Toffolo pumped the header back across and there was Danny Ward to nod beyond Thomas Kaminski.

    Superb match this. Great entertainment.

A bad night for Charlton as Kieran Lee's second goal has wrapped up the points for Bolton, who lead 3-1 in South East London.

Game over at the Kassam Stadium. Mark Sykes has made it 4-1 for Oxford.

Game over absolutely at Portman Road and a first home win of the season for Ipswich. Macauley Bonne grabbed his second and Lee Evans has a hat-trick and they lead Doncaster 5-0.

Scott Wootton has scored Morecambe's second at home to Lincoln. The Shrimps continue to punch above their weight.

Plymouth's unbeaten run will reach a ninth game with Ryan Hardie equalising at home to Crewe.

    Preston 1-1 Stoke City

Into the last 10 minutes at Deepdale and still all square.

Preston's Emil Riis with a long throw-in from the right, substitute Alistair McCann gets a half chance.

But he has his effort blocked before the ball diverts back to Riis who slices his effort wide from a tight angle.

  5. RED CARDpublished at 21:27 British Summer Time 28 September 2021

    Hull 0-1 Blackpool

When it rains, it pours for Hull. Not just literally either.

Lewie Coyle is sent off for a second-bookable offence. Desperately dragged down his opponent Shayne Lavery as Blackpool yomped forward.

    Clumsy and costly potentially too.

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:26 British Summer Time 28 September 2021

    Middlesbrough 2-0 Sheff Utd

Fantastic hit from David McGoldrick, half-volleyed from the edge of the box, is more than equalled by a diving, stretching effort to tip it away by Joe Lumley in the Boro goal.

Sheffield United trying to unlock Boro. That was a good opportunity.

    Ten to go.

  7. goal

GOAL: Cardiff City 0-4 West Brompublished at 21:25 British Summer Time 28 September 2021

    Matt Phillips (82 mins)

    Where were the Cardiff defenders?

West Brom score a fourth to put some more gloss on this win and they seemed to have the freedom of the city to finish it off as Matt Phillips was picked out in acres of space in the penalty area to tap home a low cross in from the left.

    Huddersfield 2-2 Blackburn

    How did Huddersfield not score?!

It looked like an Inspector Gadget-style telescopic arm that extended from Thomas Kaminski to deny a goalmouth scramble prod which looked goalbound.

    Superb save from the Belgian.

  9. 'Someone is not doing their job properly'published at 21:24 British Summer Time 28 September 2021

    Calvin Andrew
Ex-Rochdale, Mansfield and Port Vale forward on Squad Goals

These huge scorelines mean someone is not doing their job properly or has not prepared properly.

Often on a Tuesday night, you see these funny results and funny scorelines.

  10. Postpublished at 21:23 British Summer Time 28 September 2021

    Middlesbrough 2-0 Sheff Utd

Sheffield United have sent on Conor Hourihane to try to turn things round, and he replaces Iliman Ndiaye.

Ndiaye hit the post in the first half and was busy but quiet the second.

Uche Ikpeazu's introduction for Boro has been inspired. He is such an awkward player to cope with.

  11. Postpublished at 21:22 British Summer Time 28 September 2021

    Hull 0-1 Blackpool

Hull, who are desperate for a goal here, have brought on Tom Eaves to give themselves a focal point up top and Andy Cannon makes way.

Are the Tigers baring their teeth?

  12. Postpublished at 21:20 British Summer Time 28 September 2021

    Middlesbrough 2-0 Sheff Utd

Disappointing set-piece from Sheffield United. Free kick on the left is floated in by John Fleck and it's easily dealt with by Joe Lumley.

You want it fizzed in, and it's just looped instead. No challenge for it either.

  13. League One latestpublished at 21:20 British Summer Time 28 September 2021

Wycombe are set for their first win on the road since 14 August with Ryan Tafazolli making it 2-0 at Shrewsbury.

Scott Twine has completed his hat-trick for MK Dons. They now lead Fleetwood 3-2 and are heading into the top-two above Wigan.

Kieran Lee has volleyed Bolton in front at Charlton, whose stay in the bottom four is set to continue.

But a second goal from Lee Evans means Ipswich are climbing out of the relegation zone with them now 3-0 up over Doncaster.

  14. Postpublished at 21:18 British Summer Time 28 September 2021

    Middlesbrough 2-0 Sheff Utd

Middlesbrough striker Andraz Sporar, who has just been booked for gently butting George Baldock in a posturing moment of silliness, is replaced by Uche Ikpeazu.

Think that one was perhaps accelerated by the events of a moment ago.

    He's grafted hard tonight Sporar.

  15. goal

GOAL: Cardiff City 0-3 West Brompublished at 21:18 British Summer Time 28 September 2021

    Alex Mowatt (75 mins)

West Brom returning top in style.

Alex Mowatt adds their third goal of the game and what a goal it is too!

Unstoppable left-foot volley from just outside of the penalty area that gives Dillon Phillips no chance of keeping it out.

    Stunning goal!

  16. Postpublished at 21:17 British Summer Time 28 September 2021

    Huddersfield 2-2 Blackburn

Huddersfield go close to a third, as a Danny Ward hit is taken in by Thomas Kaminski in the Blackburn goal.

  17. Postpublished at 21:15 British Summer Time 28 September 2021

    Hull 0-1 Blackpool

The Hull fan who got involved earlier won't have had their mood improved by recent events at the MKM.

No change to the score, and not a huge amount to rouse the fans either.

George Moncur does get a shot away, forcing a save and a corner. The set piece fails to yield a goal.

Still all square as we move towards the last 20 minutes at Deepdale.

Chances for both sides. Josh Tymon the latest to be denied for Stoke as Dan Iverson blocks his effort from inside the six-yard box.

  19. League One updatepublished at 21:14 British Summer Time 28 September 2021

There will be new leaders of League One tonight as Callum Paterson has scored for Sheffield Wednesday at Wigan, who are set for their first defeat since August.

Sunderland will overtake them as Luke O'Nien and Leon Dajuku have made it 5-0 against Cheltenham.

Gillingham's winless run looks like coming to an end as Danny Lloyd has doubled their lead at Cambridge.

Daniel Jebbison scored in the Premier League for Sheffield United as a 17-year-old last season. He now has his first goal on loan for Burton, although Reeco Hackett-Fairchild has halved the deficit. It's now 2-1 to Burton.

And Ethan Hamilton has pulled one back for Accrington at Oxford.

    Cardiff City 0-2 West Brom

West Brom almost give themselves extra breathing space with a third goal.

Jordan Hugill drifts an effort just wide after Adam Reach had played it across to him.
