Source at PSG says it is not true that Real Madrid have made another bid for forward Kylian Mbappe. The France international is staying at PSG.
He is free to sign a pre-contract agreement in January if he chooses and leave for nothing next summer.

Wolves have abandoned their attempt to sign Renato Sanches from Lille.
New Wolves boss Bruno Lage had hoped to add the Portugal international to his squad.
However, it has now been established that Sanches has an injury that will keep him out for between two and three months, rendering a transfer pointless.
It is understood Wolves are still hoping to do some business before the end of the window, although they may think they have done their best business by keeping hold of flying winger Adama Traore.

Everton defender Niels Nkounkou has joined Belgian club Standard Liege on a season-long loan deal.
The 20-year-old left-back, who was part of the France squad at this summer’s Olympic football tournament, made his Everton debut in a Carabao Cup victory over Salford City last September.
Nkounkou made six first-Team appearances last season and has featured once this season in the Carabao Cup second-round win at Huddersfield Town.

Tottenham say right-back Emerson Royal has signed a deal with the club until 2026 and will wear the number 12 shirt.
The Brazil international will travel to London from Spain later this week.

"Transfer windows at Watford are rarely dull, but following promotion last season the summer of 2021 has been particularly dizzying at Vicarage Road. I make it 13 players brought in plus two loans with options/clauses to buy, and eight senior players departing as well as a number of kids released and countless loans out but I wouldn't swear to any of those numbers and in any case they may well have rolled upwards by the time I've finished writing this paragraph, let alone by the time you read it.
"A number of those outgoings have been long-serving and established players, a function in part of being relegated during a pandemic and on getting promoted again, undesirably finding ourselves with players too close to out of contract for comfort. The midfield in particular has been completely overhauled with Will Hughes a big loss and Nate Chalobah likely to follow but Moussa Sissoko the most recent and prominent of a large number of new faces.
"We have similarly brought in an array of attacking players which give us options whilst shunting Isaac Success and Stipe Perica out of the door with (whisper it) Troy Deeney exiting before the end of the window. How do I assess it? Heaven knows, but the signings individually look pretty impressive... plus we've once again held on to the crown jewel Ismaila Sarr. We can only hope that driver shortages aren't limiting access to gel as well as milkshakes and chicken, we'll need plenty."

They are saying Kylian Mbappe's transfer from PSG to Real Madrid is "totally off".
Reporter Kaveh Solhekol adds: "Real were willing to play 220m Euros today.
"PSG have stalled, they did not get back and Real have walked away.
"Real will sign the player on a pre-contract agreement in January for free."
Going to have to hold this graphic until next year then.

"Until the signing of Kurt Zouma from Chelsea, there had been frustration about the lack of transfer activity from West Ham as we embark on a season that includes a European campaign. The impression I got was that Moyes was very happy with his starting XI and didn't want to spend money needlessly aka "If it ain't broke don't fix it".
"I admire his confidence in his players to recreate the form that secured sixth place last season and entry into this season's Europa League but I fear - like so many other West Ham fans - that we are a couple of injuries away from our Europe-chasing team being turned into one that may struggle to flourish.
"The loan signing of Alphonse Areola was certainly one with the future in mind, and offers real competition to Lukasz Fabianski. Zouma, on the other hand, is a player who does improve our defence. And based on our defensive frailties shown against Newcastle and Palace, I suspect he'll slot straight into the starting XI after the international break."
