    If you missed it earlier, West Ham are in talks to sign Czech Republic midfielder Alex Kral from Spartak Moscow after completing a move for Nikola Vlasic from CSKA Moscow.

    Kral, who joined Spartak in 2019, is also interesting Italian side Atalanta.

    Spurs Fan: Rafael van der Vaart's 11:59 signing for Tottenham for a ridiculously low £7m. Ultimately to the club's detriment as they've tried to replicate it by lowballing with every offer since.

    Away from all the transfer hullabaloo, the England players have assembled over at St.George's Park prior to September's the World Cup qualifiers.

    The Three Lions face Hungary on 2 September and host Andorra on 5 September, before travelling to Poland on 8 September.

    And new boy, Leeds United forward Patrick Bamford, has been up in front of the media talking about how excited he is to be involved.

    "[It feels] Unreal. I got my hopes up a few times last year and there were a few sleepless nights before the squad got announced but I knew with Gareth [Southgate] mentioning my name I was getting closer," Bamford said.

    "This time around I didn’t even think about it and forgot the squad announcement was that day and went into training like any other day.

    "I went into training and got a FaceTime call off the technical director. I was trying to get ready so I didn’t answer it and then I got another and thought I’d better answer and he showed me the email from England to the club secretary.

    "Not every player has the same career pathway. At different times in your career you have different obstacles. I always believed it was going to happen and could get to this level.

    "I knew I would never give up until the day I retired."

    Liverpool defender Nat Phillips has signed a new deal with the club which runs until 2025.

    The 24-year-old made 17 Premier League appearances for the Reds last season, scoring one goal, as he helped them finish third in the top-flight.

    Phillips had been linked with a move this summer but will now be staying with Jurgen Klopp’s team.

    West Ham are in talks with Czech Republic midfielder Alex Kral.

    Kral, 23, is currently at Spartak Moscow and is understood to have turned down an approach from Italian side Atalanta.

    Hammers manager has already enjoyed great success with two Czech players already in Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal.

    Kral joined Spartak in a five-year-deal in 2019.
