    FT: Hearts 0-0 Hibernian

Former Hearts striker John Robertson tells BBC Sportsound: "I thoroughly enjoyed it. For the first 80 minutes, they were both at it. Both goalkeepers had some really, really good saves.

"Hibs played slightly the more controlled football. Hearts had that wee bit more energy. In the end, it was a fair result."

  3. How things standpublished at 14:35 British Summer Time 12 September 2021

    FT: Hearts 0-0 Hibernian

The draw at Tynecastle means Rangers end round five of the Scottish Premiership on top of the table.

Hearts and Hibs remain the only unbeaten sides, but two draws means they trail the champions by one point.

I think this could be a brilliant season.

  4. 'This atmosphere is what you want' - Gordonpublished at 14:32 British Summer Time 12 September 2021

    FT: Hearts 0-0 Hibernian

Hearts goalkeeper Craig Gordon tells BBC Sportsound: "We're a little bit disappointed not to win the game. We're still undefeated - we'll take that. We're still improving.

"I thought Matt Macey was excellent. He made some good saves. My best save was probably the one that no-one noticed, slightest of touches to take it wide.

"This is incredible, coming to play in atmospheres like this. This is what you want."

Hibs goalkeeper Matt Macey came across really well in his post-match interview. I must say I have been hoodwinked by the strange perception that he's American.

Apologies to Matt, who is English. No idea where that one came from.

  6. 'If we keep a clean sheet, I'm happy' - Maceypublished at 14:25 British Summer Time 12 September 2021

    FT: Hearts 0-0 Hibernian

Hibernian goalkeeper Matt Macey tells BBC Sportsound: "It was a new experience for me. By far the best atmosphere I've been involved in.

"Today felt like that first big, big game with the fans. I really enjoyed it. The result is good, could've been better but we'll take it.

"If we keep a clean sheet, I'm happy. The defensive unit that we've built up here pride ourselves in that."

    FT: Hearts 0-0 Hibernian

What a signing Beni Baningime has been for Hearts. Let me caveat it with the usual 'early days' comment, but he's been terrific.

Made more tackles than any of his team-mates this afternoon, and also completed 36 of his 37 passes. Not bad.

  8. Baningime has 'lit up' Scottish game - Neilsonpublished at 14:21 British Summer Time 12 September 2021

    FT: Hearts 0-0 Hibernian

Hearts manager Robbie Neilson tells BBC Sportsound: "I thought it was a very entertaining match. Very exciting, end-to-end - I quite enjoyed it.

"There's a wee tinge of disappointment that we didn't take the three points but it shows how far we've come in the past 14,15 months.

"Both goalkeepers did exceptionally well. The reason both teams are at the top end of the Premiership is because they've got top goalkeepers, you need that. We're so lucky to have Craig here.

"As a fan and as a Hearts fan, I just want to see as much of Beni Baningime as I can because I'm sure there'll be teams looking at him now.

"He's come to Scotland and lit it up. We've got such a good squad here. We've got Ross County next week, we've got to get back to winning ways."

  10. Macey 'grabbing opportunity' to be number onepublished at 14:12 British Summer Time 12 September 2021

    FT: Hearts 0-0 Hibernian

Hibernian head coach Jack Ross tells BBC Sportsound: "I genuinely enjoyed it. I wanted to come here and win. Both sides had several opportunities. Both goalkeepers were terrific.

"It was just a really, really good game. Terrific atmosphere as well. Our supporters were magnificent. We had periods when we were really good and periods when we had to dig in and see out periods of pressure. We did both parts. To come here, stand up to it and take something is pleasing.

"When both goalkeepers produce top saves, Craig's are almost taking for granted because he does it so many times.

"Matt is a relative newcomer to the Scottish game, big gloves to fill in Ofir Marciano leaving and the first time in his career he's really been able to establish himself and he's really grabbed that. He's a really good character. His saves were outstanding."

Martin Boyle had the fewest touches of any Hibs player who played the full 90 minutes.

Hibs are far from a one man team, but it makes a difference when teams snuff out his threat. Though, as ever he did have a couple of good attempts.

A tale of two goalkeepers, who both made outstanding saves to keep their respective sheets clean.

The best was probably from Hibs keeper Matt Macey, who denied Gary Mackay-Steven from close-range earlier in the second half.
