  7. 'Frenetic'published at 12:58 British Summer Time 12 September 2021

    HT: Hearts 0-0 Hibernian

Former Hibernian striker Kevin Harper tells BBC Sportsound: "It's been frenetic at times. It's been really entertaining.

"Craig Gordon's made two good saves for Hearts and I think that's why he's Scotland's number one.

"I think Jack Ross will be saying, 'calm down a little bit'. When Hibs did play their passes, they got through.

"If you're a professional footballer, you want to be in this environment. I can't go against Hibs, even though in amongst all the Hearts fans. I'll still go with Hibs."

  9. HALF-TIME - Hearts 0-0 Hibernianpublished at 12:47 British Summer Time 12 September 2021

A very even game of football. Hibs started the better, but Hearts have come back strongly.

    Finely poised.

  10. CLOSE!published at 45 mins

    Hearts 0-0 Hibernian

Having said that Martin Boyle goes close on the break!

The Hibs forward spins Beni Baningime and races forward, firing just past Craig Gordon's right-hand post.

That's that for the first 45.

  11. Postpublished at 45 mins

Hibs under the cosh before the break. They need half-time.

  12. Chance gonepublished at 42 mins

    Hearts 0-0 Hibernian

A lovely cushioned touch from Liam Boyce affords Gary Mackay-Steven room to lash one at goal, but it goes nowhere near the goal.

Hearts seem to be on top in midfield. I wonder if Hibs head coach Jack Ross might tweak his formation again?

  13. Postpublished at 38 mins

    Hearts 0-0 Hibernian

Paul McGinn gets a couple of crucial interceptions in to stop Hearts threading through two passes.

It's slightly end-to-end here. But not in a madly frantic way.

  14. Postpublished at 12:37 British Summer Time 12 September 2021

    Hearts 0-0 Hibernian

We've just seen a replay, and Nick Walsh got that decision on Liam Boyce earlier spot on. He stands on Paul McGinn's foot, causing the Hibs defender to fall and take him down in turn.

    Good refereeing.

Well done referee. He saw the advantage. Great strike and a good save by Matt Macey round the post. Hearts are getting a few corners. That worries me a little bit

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 26 mins

    Hearts 0-0 Hibernian

Matt Macey beats away Gary McKay-Steven's left-foot raker.

    The Hearts fans roar.

Stephen Kingsley arrives late in the box again from a corner and Joe Newell has to intervene to stop him scoring. Then Craig Halkett heads over from the next corner.

    Pressure building.

  20. Postpublished at 23 mins

    Hearts 0-0 Hibernian

Ooft, Kevin Nisbet has to stop Stephen Kingsley's sliding effort from creeping in.

Alex Cochrane's delivery wasn't dealt with especially well by Hibs. Hearts growing into the game now.
