Poor from Kevin Nisbet as he's caught offside for no reason.

Drey Wright looks to be coming on for Hibernian. Chris Cadden to make way. A decent shift on his first start of the season.

  3. CLOSE!published at 81 mins

    Hearts 0-0 Hibernian

What a goal that would have been from Kevin Nisbet.

A flick on finds him in the box, and he waits for it to drop over his shoulder and he smashes it on the volley.

It goes wide, though. Hibs have stirred.

  4. Postpublished at 79 mins

    Hearts 0-0 Hibernian

A throwback, a note being passed on by Barrie McKay to John Souttar.

What do we think it says?

  5. GREAT SAVE!published at 78 mins

Craig Gordon makes a brilliant save. What else is new?

Kevin Nisbet makes a fantastic run and gets onto a pass, he gets to the by-line and pulls the ball back for Kyle Magennis.

Gordon claws the Hibs midfielder's shot wide. He was at full stretch. Terrific save.

  6. CLOSE!published at 76 mins

    Hearts 0-0 Hibernian

A very decent effort from the Hibs midfielder. The best chance they've had for a while.

Hearts just look like a better balanced side than I've seen for a long time. Wonderful ball in from Barrie McKay, Josh Ginnelly should do better

  8. CLOSE!published at 73 mins

    Hearts 0-0 Hibernian

Barrie McKay makes an instant impact as he picks out Josh Ginnelly at the back post, but the winger's header is pushed clear by the impressive Matt Macey.

He's been the busier of the two goalkeepers in this half.

  9. Postpublished at 71 mins

    Hearts 0-0 Hibernian

Barrie McKay is on for his Hearts debut. The former Rangers man could be the one to unlock the door. Ben Woodburn makes way.

Quite the barnet he's sporting, too.

  10. Postpublished at 66 mins

    Hearts 0-0 Hibernian

Taylor Moore comes on for Michael Smith as Hearts make a change.

Hibs defender Ryan Porteous was down for a bit receiving treatment but seems fine to continue.

  11. Postpublished at 64 mins

    Hearts 0-0 Hibernian

You feel Hibs have to try to change things up here. It's all Hearts just now.

Can the home side find the breakthrough?

Whenever I say one side is on top, the other tends to fashion a great chance...

  13. Ginnelly for GMSpublished at 63 mins

    Hearts 0-0 Hibernian

Those were Gary Mackay-Steven's last chances to score this afternoon, as he's replaced by Josh Ginnelly. The former Preston man has the ability to make a difference.

    But will he?

That is an absolutely tremendous save from Matt Macey but great play from Hearts in the build-up

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 60 mins

    Hearts 0-0 Hibernian

A beauty of a save from Hibs keeper Matt Macey!

An inch-perfect pass finds Gary Mackay-Steven one-on-one with the goalkeeper. He shapes for the corner and Macey dives brilliantly to deny him.

The American then stops the same man again moments later. Top class.

  16. Postpublished at 13:16 British Summer Time 12 September 2021

    Hearts 0-0 Hibernian

    A shot on target!

A very loose pass at the back from Hearts defender John Souttar allows Kyle Magennis to pounce. He drives at Alex Cochrane, cuts inside but his shot is fairly tame and Craig Gordon dives on it.

  17. Postpublished at 58 mins

    Hearts 0-0 Hibernian

Another free-kick goes to waste. Hearts still got the better of the midfield battle for me.

  18. Postpublished at 56 mins

    Hearts 0-0 Hibernian

Joe Newell is booked for hauling back Gary Mackay-Steven! A good chance for Hearts here. A free kick about 35 yards out in a central area.

The two teams are just sparring with each other. If it's the same game as the first half, we're in for a cracking second half

    Hearts 0-0 Hibernian

Hibs break and Joe Newell's fantastic pass find Martin Boyle, and the forward runs at John Souttar before hitting one from distance, which hits off Craig Halkett and goes out for a corner.

Nothing comes from the set-piece other than a Hearts counter!

Peter Haring delivers for Liam Boyce on the stretch but Hibs clear.
