  1. GREAT SAVE!published at 29 mins

    Man Utd 0-1 Man City

How has De Gea saved that?

It should be 2-0 to City but United's keeper somehow gets down to keep out Gabriel Jesus after Kevin de Bruyne's attempt had been blocked.

Moments later De Gea sticks out a strong hand to divert Joao Cancelo's attempt over.

This derby has really come to life.

Not much from Cristiano Ronaldo in the opening 20 minutes or so and then he pulls the trigger and it's a terrific save by Ederson.

Luke Shaw sends in a decent cross which Ronaldo meets on the volley and sends it towards the net before City's keeper flings himself down to keep out.

Manchester United have now gone 14 home matches without a clean sheet.

That is their longest run without a clean sheet at Old Trafford since a club record run of 21 between April 1958 and March 1959.

Some players try and some don't. If this carries on for another 25 minutes where nothing's coming back, this crowd will turn on Man United.

I don't think these players are strong enough, their characters aren't strong enough to withstand that. That's something City will exploit.

United have now conceded in their past 11 league games at Old Trafford. That's a terrible run. Phil Foden is continuing to enjoy plenty of freedom down the wing. Aaron Wan-Bissaka has his work cut out.

This is the last thing Manchester United need. Now City can just keep the ball and pick them off.

Their last home game was the Liverpool one. This isn't the right response.

Mike: So United 1-0 down early in the game, with basically 7 defenders on the pitch against the most possession based team in the league... Great.

Khael: How do you have virtually all your players in your own third and still have no one to close Cancelo down?

City are moving the ball with style and United are chasing shadows.

Kevin de Bruyne swings a lovely cross into the box but it's just out of reach of Phil Foden.

Ederson has had nothing to do.

We talked about this pre-game - what version of Eric Bailly will turn up today?

He got away with a couple of similar situations on Tuesday, this time he didn't.

To allow City to get the cross in when you have seven players in the box is not good enough. Two players at the back post could have scored if Bailly didn't touch that anyway, but Bailly should have easily cleared that for a corner.
