I am really happy for Geyoro because I remember the coaches telling her follow the action and don't stay in the midfield. We can see her making the follow-up run and going through on goal - getting on the scoresheet.

The French team have laid low in preparation to this tournament. But this team, in that system, are playing it to perfection right now.

The Italians had a chance to put themselves one up and it was a real miss given how much it kicked France into action.

France are the first team in Women's Euros history to score five goals before half-time, while Grace Geyoro is the first player to net a first-half hat-trick.

Cascarino likes to get those crossing balls. Also cutting the ball and getting inside and shoot to the goal. It's not surprising for us. But it's good to see that she is able to score and good for her confidence.

I'm sorry Italy but I have just checked the biggest Women's Euros win ever...

    It's England 6-0 Scotland in 2017.

Only one more France goal needed. And we'd all be amazed if they don't score again.

Glen: I thought there was chaos around this French side - only chaos I’m seeing is what they are causing to this Italian side. On another level to the teams we’ve seen so far

Roberto: If this is France easing their way into the tournament hate to see them when they hit their stride! Cascarino and Katoto have been awesome!

Now I am a fan of the Kungs vs Cookin’ on 3 Burners song 'This Girl', external but I fear I am going to get sick of it pretty soon because it is the goal music here and I am pretty certain we haven't heard the last of it.

I think we all expected France to be good, but this good? Italy have no answer to their attack and bar shoving every player back in defence I don't see how they don't score more.

Brilliant performance so far by France.

    So we have...

    Three goals for Grace Geyoro

A goal and an assist for Marie-Antoinette Katoto

    A goal for Delphine Cascarino

An assist each for Sakina Karchaoui and Sandie Toletti

    On the fourth goal

So far in this half, it's been a great example if you give a good side top quality players some space that leaves an Italian player one or two yards away from the attacker which sees Geyoro unmarked.

It's still the first half and Grace Geyoro has guaranteed herself the match ball.

Sandie Toletti's cross comes in from the left which bounces and Geyoro blasts home from 14 yards.

You fear for Italy now. They're cut apart again down the wings and Kadidiatou Diani's first-time shot is saved well down low by Laura Giuliani.

A brilliant strike from Cascarino - low and hard. But defensively you have to get closer to these players.

    Some performance this from France.

There were audible gasps at Delphine Cascarino's bullet of a strike and the celebrations had barely died down when they got another.

France are firmly underlining their credentials as one of the Euro 2022 favourites. Who would want to face this attack?

    Grace Geyoro

The goal music had barely stopped before it starts again.

Marie-Antoinette Katoto flicks the ball into the path of Grace Geyoro, who runs in between two centre-backs and then goes round the keeper before rolling into an empty net.
