    Belgium 0-1 Iceland

Belgium are rattled and they look vulnerable as they nearly concede a second goal. Goalkeeper Nicky Evrard comes for a punch but makes a poor connection on it and that gives Iceland another chance.

It eventually falls to Sara Bjork Gunnarsdottir who tries the spectacular but the overhead kick ends up in the stands.

Lots of power in that header. It's a great start to this second half. Her marker didn't know where she was.

Bedlam where the Iceland fans are congregated.

That's only the fifth goal they have scored at a European Women's Championship - and this is their fourth tournament.

The goal was greeted by a loud blast of 'Freed from Desire' over the speakers.

Have I mentioned what a cracking atmosphere it is?

  12. goal

GOAL - Belgium 0-1 Icelandpublished at 50 mins

    Berglind Thorvaldsdottir

Iceland take the lead and Berglind Thorvaldsdottir, who missed a penalty in the first half, is now her country's hero.

She is free at the back post and gets her head to a cross from Karolina Lea Vilhjalmadottir and the close-range header is too powerful for Belgium goalkeeper Nicky Evrard and she can't keep it out.

  13. Postpublished at 48 mins

    Belgium 0-0 Iceland

Sveindis Jane Jonsdottir has looked the best player on the pitch and the most likely source of a goal. Inside the opening two minutes of the second half she produces the best moment of the match for Iceland.

She's fast and direct, shows great skill as she jinks into the penalty area and, from a tight angle, shoots at goal, but Nicky Evrard does well to keep it out.

A much better start to the second half.

We're back under way at the Academy Stadium. We've not had a goalless draw in this tournament so far. Can we get a goal here?

  15. 'Jonsdottir a threat'published at 18:04 British Summer Time 10 July 2022

    Belgium 0-0 Iceland

    Anita Asante
Former England defender on BBC One

Sveindis Jane Jonsdottir is a dynamic winger and going in the attack, she is so good going into one v one. She's committed the full-back and won a lot of corners on the left-hand side.

She is a threat and if they can get the ball down the left, she will commit players and create opportunities for Iceland to try and attack - hopefully get a goal scoring opportunity.

  17. 'Trying to block the ball from hitting her face'published at 18:01 British Summer Time 10 July 2022

    Belgium 0-0 Iceland

    Anita Asante
Former England defender on BBC One

I felt sorry for the full-back because naturally she is trying to block the ball from hitting her face and that's quite an instinctive thing to do.

But the minute your arm goes up in this situation and the ball comes out, it redirects the ball and instantly that's got to be a penalty - that's the law of the game.
