France breeze into the Euro 2022 quarter-finals with a game to spare by beating Belgium at Rotherham's New York Stadium to progress as Group D winners.

• France have won their last 16 matches in all competitions, scoring 69 goals and conceding just seven times in this run. They have only ever had one longer winning run in their history, a 17-match streak between August 2011 and July 2012.
• France are unbeaten in their last nine group stage matches at the Euros (W6 D3) since losing 5-1 to Germany in 2009.
• Kadidiatou Diani became the first player in the history of the men’s and women’s French senior team to score a goal on Bastille Day

The France players have gone over to the pocket of supporters still cheering at the far side of the stadium.

There's been question marks over the unity of this French team but they are on the pitch hugging and celebrating.

France have scored six goals in two games and conceded just two goals, but should they be concerned about their lack of second half goals?

That's to worry about another day, for now they are rightly enjoying the moment.

Janice Cayman found the back of the net to make it 1-1 with a first time finish.

The goalkeeper did really well. Wendie Renard was always reaching [with the rebound]. It wasn't a natural approach on her left foot.

I don't think VAR was used well there at all.
