Well I said it would be interesting to see how France respond and that is how they do it!
A bullet header and the France fans around me are back on their feet.
Great game so far.

France are getting a lot of joy in wide areas, getting the ball in the box. They have looked a class apart in this first half.
It's too easy again to get the ball across. Griedge Mbock Bathy is in amongst four or five Belgian players and she's the one who gets her head to the ball.
Griedge Mbock Bathy
Well, Belgium weren't level for long.
France recycle a corner, Clara Mateo shows quick footwork inside the box and finds Griedge Mbock Bathy, who heads home into the roof of the net.

Five minutes to half time, France are a bit shell-shocked here.
They didn't expect this, they have been utterly dominant until that equaliser.

Well then...
France have had enough chances to be two or three goals up but Belgium are now right back in this and that defence that has looked at times a bit suspect is caught out.
This is the first time things haven't gone France's way at the tournament and it will be interesting to see how they respond.

VAR check...
...AND THE GOAL STANDS!

Brilliant. Fantastic goal for Belgium. France just relaxed, it didn't feel any threat whatsoever. What a ball that is hit behind and she was first to it. That ball in created it.
Belgium lulled France into a false sense of security.
Janice Cayman
Out of nowhere!!
First real attack and Belgium restore parity.
Skipper Tessa Wullaert manages to squeeze a pass through to Janice Cayman on goal and the Lyon player stretches out a foot to divert a low finish into the back of the net.

It's like a practice game. It's too easy for France.
France 1-0 Belgium
Delphine Cascarino breaks into the box for France but is nudged off the ball by Janice Cayman.
The loose ball breaks for Clara Mateo, who drags wide from 12 yards out.
Should do better from there.
France 1-0 Belgium
For all of France's pressure and chances, they are only 1-0 up.
Can Belgium just push out and create something going forward?

Good pressing by Kadidiatou Diani. She had one thought - go forward and engage defenders. It's a problem when you're a defender and somebody with speed is running at you.
France 1-0 Belgium
Kadidiatou Diani chopped down by Sari Kees, no nonsense from the Belgian there.
France 1-0 Belgium
Star striker Marie-Antoinette Katoto is on the bench, not looking too clever with a huge ice pack strapped to her right knee.
Tournament over?
