A couple of times Beth Mead and Lauren Hemp have to recongise the out-ball is to Ellen White, who will win her header.

This is a bit better from the home side.

Ellen White wins a header to flick the ball on, but Lauren Hemp isn't quick enough to react. Spain keeper Sandra Panos is out to claim.

Spain's display has really sapped the edge from this crowd. At the start they were cheering every England involvement. Now there is a bit of a nervous murmur.

Sarina Wiegman threw Jill Scott in against Spain in the Arnold Clark Cup in February - which was a shock to a lot of people - and she ran the show in midfield. It wouldn't surprise me if she was to come on in the second half to steady things a little. England have been well off the level they need to be so far.

Mary Earps punches the corner and gets distance on it. Aitana Bonmati eyes something special but hammers her volley from range well over the bar.

Spain have another corner.

England having to commit so much energy just to keeping their opponent out.

You can feel the screw tightening. England are really struggling to get out of their own half.

Spain are bypassing England's midfield far too easily and the forwards need to get back and help more.

Leah Williamson has just screamed at her team-mates and Lauren Hemp got a telling off from Georgia Stanway and Keira Walsh for not tracking back then. Millie Bright covered for her, luckily.

England haven't been good enough. Spain are on top.

Spain are away once more and clip over a cross from the right, but the England captain reads the attack and is there to head away.

Esther Gonzalez was in space behind her.

Soon after, Millie Bright slides in to halt another Spain attack.

As expected, Spain are dictating the tempo. Beth Mead and Lauren Hemp are dropping back as full-backs and that's what we don't want so Sarina Wiegman will be thinking of a way to keep those two players higher up the pitch.

Keira Walsh or Georgia Stanway could maybe drop in as a false full-back and allow Lucy Bronze to push higher up. Play a bit of cat-and-mouse with Spain.

Again, Spain work it nicely to open England up on the left. The cross in from Mariona Caldentey is aimed towards Esther Gonzalez but the forward can't get enough contact on her header. England clear.

In contrast, England's forwards are struggling for touches. Beth Mead has been quiet, Lauren Hemp anonymous and Ellen White shackled.

The Lionesses need to work out how to make them a presence.

Mariona Caldentey is a real threat for Spain. She has stuck largely to the left touchline, offering a regular outlet. The cut back inside is predictable but so hard to stop.

Wayne Ellis: England very much second best so far, need to settle down and do a better job of keeping possession.
