For me the cheeky backheel [by Alessia Russo was the highlight]. You know the next day young boys and girls would have been practising it. Everyone was talking about it.

I'm not sure I thought it would take 13 years to reach another final. This is a fantastic position. There is plenty to build on after this tournament.

We're going to win 3-1. It will be the start of things to come.

There are a few key battles, midfield is key. Our strengths are in the wide areas. So are theirs. If we can stop the supply to Alex Popp we have this game in the bag.

Fara predicted the right score in England v Sweden in the semi-final, 4-0

I hope the team realise what they've created. If they don't, they will when they walk out on the pitch. I don't think Sarina Wiegman realised how much the fans are behind here. Incredible.

It's so real now. The first glimpse of Wembley just gives me goosebumps. There are grey clouds forming over the arch. It might start raining and that for me adds to the atmosphere.

So many parents at home right now pointing at the TV and asking their child "see, why didn't you dance like that? We could be at Wembley now!"

Young Tess Dolan being very cute and very excited on BBC One, though. She's embodied what this is all about.

The impact Alessia Russo has when she's coming on when spaces opened up... as a defender if I see her coming on I think help me. She's young, fresh and has the energy and freedom.

This England team play with freedom. There are so many different ways we can open up this Germany team.

Germany fans are completely outnumbered compared to England fans but they have a good amount of support inside Wembley.

There's a sizeable pocket of them to my right and the German flag was flying high when the team was announced over the PA system.

I've spotted a few Sweden fans too who were hoping to have made the final but bowed out in the semi-finals, courtesy of England.

I wonder who they'll be supporting today or just revelling in a feast of football?

They've been replaying some of the tournament's best goals and it comes as no surprise that Alessia Russo's audacious back heel received the biggest cheer in the stadium.

England forward Beth Mead says football is her "safe space" from challenges off the pitch and she uses it to bounce back from disappointments.

Mead, who was left out of Team GB's Olympic squad last year, is the joint-top scorer at Euro 2022 going into Sunday's final against Germany.

The prospect of winning a first major tournament and the Golden Boot is not being taken for granted by Mead.

"Football is my safe space, a place for me to escape sometimes," she said.

"Probably watching me play football it's looked all fine and dandy as it has been going well. I've had difficulties off the pitch this year.

"I have had a lot of support around me that has helped me. I guess I've used my football to get rid of the emotions that I've had off the pitch."
