The Lionesses started a bit slow...
But then exploded into life...
With around an hour and twenty to go until kick-off, let's remind ourselves of how these two teams got here...

Germany's players are out on the pitch at Wembley, getting a very early sample of what is to come.
It's all going to be a bit Evergreen Forest before Bert Raccoon wakes up, though.

All the usual merchandise is available along Wembley Way but I did wince at the sight of an England-Germany half and half scarf. That must be one of the worst ones out there?

I'm sure all England fans will be delighted to discover that their side have been designated the home side for this evening's game, meaning they get to wear white for the final.
Germany will line up in their change strip of dark green.

Germany's dominance of European football has lasted for decades. The eight-time champions have only failed to reach the final twice in the tournaments they have competed in. The fourth place finish in 1993 remains their worst.
To understand why there has been a gulf between Germany and England for so long, you need to go back decades.
Women in England were effectively banned from playing football for 50 years between 1921 and 1971, while Germany embraced it.
A successful youth system, a growing professionalism and trained coaches were appearing in Germany while their domestic league was established.
By the time England fully arrived on the world stage, Germany's foundations for success had long been in place.
But things are starting to change - for both the men's and women's sides.
Last year, England's men ended a 55-year wait for a knockout tie victory over Germany to reach the Euro 2020 quarter-finals.
In February, England's women beat Germany on home soil for the first time to win the Arnold Clark Cup.
England's 14 goals in the group stages of Euro 2022 also set a new record, overtaking Germany's total of 11 from 2001.

So, yeah, England v Germany. Again.
It doesn't seem like two minutes since I was sat in front of a computer writing the live text for the men's Euros game between these two countries at the delayed Euro 2020.
It worked out pretty well for England that afternoon, but as all Three Lions/Lionesses fans know, it hasn't always been the case.
For the men's team, we've had 1966, 1970, 1990, 1996, 2001, 2010 and 2021. Some glorious wins, some heartbreaking defeats.
The Lionesses have had it worse at the hands of the Germans, who have beaten them in 21 of their 27 meetings, including the 2009 Euros final by six goals to two.

England midfielder Georgia Stanway says plenty of the men's national team have been in touch giving advice and looking for Euro 2022 final tickets.
The Lionesses face Germany on Sunday at Wembley as they bid to become the first England team to win a major trophy since the 1966 men's World Cup.
"Quite a lot of the England men have been in touch, just wishing us well and asking if they can have a ticket," said Bayern Munich's Stanway, 23.
"Sorry lads, we're all sold out!"
The men's team lost the Euro 2020 final on penalties to Italy last summer, also at Wembley.
"They've been at us, just giving us all the information they can," added Stanway. "They reached this point last year and we're just trying to make sure we can do one better.
"We've had so much support, whether it be footballers, people around the hotel and it's mad how many people actually recognise us."

Speaking of coverage, England's semi-final win over Sweden attracted an impressive peak TV audience of 9.3m. Today, we're expecting a UK record, surpassing the 11.7m that watched England's World Cup semi-final against the USA in 2019. It won't be the only record set today either...
Uefa have already confirmed that the previous overall attendance record for a Women's Euros of 240,055 has been smashed.
Today's game at a sold-out Wembley - with its 87,000 capacity - will surpass the attendance record for a men's or women's Euros final, which currently stands at 79,115 for the 1964 final between Spain and the Soviet Union in Madrid.

As always, we'll be live texting the game on this very page, describing all the best action and bringing you punditry and reaction. Depending on what happens today we could still be going at 2am!
The game is also live on your TV, on BBC One from 15:50 BST. If you prefer radio commentary, that is on BBC Radio 5 Live, with their build-up to the encounter starting at 16:00.
Both of those will be available via this webpage. You can get them by clicking the relevant play buttons at the top once the streams have started.

I'll start by reminding you of some of the basics... you know, just in case you've stumbled across this live without any idea what's going on.
Today sees hosts England face old enemy Germany in the final of Euro 2022. It is the two-time finalists against the eight-time winners, but that gives insight into only a fraction of the story.
Germany may have the weight of history behind them (which includes a crushing 6-2 final win over England in 2009), but the Lionesses are the form team, having largely blitzed their way to Wembley, making it 19 games unbeaten under Sarina Wiegman, during which they have scored 104 goals and conceded just four.
It's Europe's dominant past versus it's potential bright new future and we'll have every kick of it in every medium you could want on the BBC.
Cheers Harry.
Two hours to go until kick-off.

The best managers in the world have you on a knife-edge because they know if you step over the line you are in trouble. But they also allow you that freedom to express yourself.
If a ship is going down, the first person you look at is the captain. If the captain panics, you panic.
Sarina Wiegman is the captain of this ship and when it was starting to go under a little bit against Spain, she was so relaxed. She realises she has options to change things.
