Speaking of Ellen White, today she will again be looking to score the goal that takes her level with the tally of England goals scored by Wayne Rooney for the men's side.

The Man City forward has two goals in this Euros so far, leaving her on 52, one short of ex-Everton and Manchester United forward Rooney.

Today would be a fine time to score that big 53rd goal.

Even if England lose, what they’ve achieved... you can’t help but think of the journey the players have been on. This is the dream. They probably couldn’t even dream of this. I’m emotional. I’m very nervous.

The goal of game as England beat Sweden in the last four was undoubtedly that scored by Lionesses super sub Alessia Russo.

Below you can see all the angles of her backheel finish...

With Sarina Wiegman having a fully fit squad to choose from, the Manchester United striker is likely to be on the bench again as understudy to Ellen White.

But I'd be amazed if we don't see her at some point.

This Lionesses have captured the nation. They don’t know the magnitude of what they’ve done. They’ll only know it after the tournament.

They’ve raised the bar for women’s football in this country. There’s no going back.

The fear factor of playing Germany is gone.

The atmosphere is building inside Wembley and there was a huge roar when the name of Alessia Russo was read out as one of England's substitutes.

Russo provided what will be one of the iconic moments of this Euro 2022 with her backheeled goal against Sweden in the quarter-final.

A few journalists sat down with Sarina Wiegman earlier this week at England's hotel in London.

We got more of an insight to her as a person. You can read about it here but I was blown away by the fact she doesn't like baked beans!

She said she has recently "learned" to drink tea with milk, liked fish and chips but wasn't going anywhere near a fry up.

If her team win today I reckon she would give the full English breakfast a go...

As players it can be frustrating if you are not in the side but when you have a record that Sarina Wiegman has got, I don't think you have the right to judge her or question her.

    Her record is perfect.

History is waiting to be made by Sarina Wiegman and Voss-Tecklenburg.

England boss Wiegman's record is formidable, winning all 11 games she has taken charge of at the Euros. She led the Netherlands to an unlikely triumph on home soil five years ago.

She is looking to repeat the feat with England on this occasion, in turn becoming the first coach to win the tournament with two different teams.

Wiegman's record since taking charge of England is a near-flawless one too, unbeaten in her 19 games, drawing just two of those.

On the other hand, Germany coach Voss-Tecklenburg will become just the second woman, after former team-mate Silvia Neid, to win the competition as both a player and coach.

Having won the 2009 Champions League with Duisburg, she is also aiming to become the first coach to win Europe's top club and national team competitions.

It's thronging outside Wembley but inside it's probably only about 10% full at the moment.

But those who have taken their seats went wild when the England squad had a walk on the pitch a few minutes ago.

Lauren Hemp and Beth England made a point of walking around to applaud the fans and the reaction was deafening. Can't imagine how noisy it's going to be when we're at full capacity!

Sarina Wiegman has named the same England side for a sixth game in a row - it is the first time in the history of the Women's Euros that an unchanged team has played in every match.

It means 'super sub' Alessia Russo remains on the bench, alongside midfielder Jill Scott who started the 2009 final defeat to Germany.

England XI: Earps, Bronze, Bright, Williamson, Daly, Stanway, Walsh, Kirby, Hemp, White, Mead.

Martina Voss-Tecklenburg has also named the same Germany XI who beat France in the semi-finals.

Bayern Munich winger Klara Buhl, a key player for Germany, was ruled out with Covid so young star Jule Brand starts again.

The England players have been walking around the pitch for the last 10 minutes taking it in. Lauren Hemp got a wave of applause as she did a lap but Sarina Wiegman has just come out to a HUGE roar. I've never heard anything like that for a manager! Incredible.

She is absolutely adored by England fans and it's easy to see why. 10 months into the job and she has guided the Lionesses to a first major tournament final in 13 years and they remain unbeaten under her in 19 games.
