Ralf Rangnick is the sixth German to manage in the Premier League. Wanna have a go at naming the other five?

Most of you will just Google it anyway, but I'll give you the answer at half-time.

    Tottenham v Norwich (14:00 GMT)

    Lawro's predictionImage source, BBC Sport

    Lawro's prediction: 3-0

Norwich are on a nice little unbeaten run of four games, but I've seen this happen with teams near the bottom before - they have a few good results but it is never too long before they revert to type.

The Canaries have worked so hard to pick up those points, but I just feel that there is a bump in the road coming. Tottenham are at home and they have got the quality and work-rate to win this one comfortably.

    Jamie's prediction: 1-0

The last time these two sides met, Jose Mourinho's team had been struggling for goals since losing Harry Kane to injury but ended a run of three league games without scoring when Dele Alli struck just before half-time.

The home side then lost Harry Winks to injury 10 minutes after the break and Norwich equalised with 20 minutes to go when Teemu Pukki fired a second-half penalty past Hugo Lloris, who was making his return after three months out with a dislocated shoulder.

Son Heung-min nodded in a deflected cross with 11 minutes to go to give Tottenham a 2-1 victory - their first win since Boxing Day.

    • Tottenham have won their past three Premier League home games against Norwich, more than they had in their first six against them in the competition (W2 D2 L2).
    • Two of Norwich’s three Premier League victories against Tottenham have come away from home, with the Canaries winning at White Hart Lane in December 1993 and April 2012.
    • After a 25-game winless run in Premier League games in London, Norwich won their last visit to the capital in the competition (2-1 vs Brentford). They last won consecutive such matches in August/September 1992 – three in a row against Arsenal, Chelsea and Crystal Palace.

  17. Out of the jam & away from the numberspublished at 13:48 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December 2021

    Leeds v Brentford (14:00 GMT)

    Adam Pope
    BBC West Yorkshire Sport

If the importance of beating Crystal Palace in midweek was not lost on Marcelo Bielsa then neither is repeating it against Brentford on Sunday.

He previewed the game as "an opportunity to improve our numbers" with specific reference to the 15 points United have mined from an awkward seam so far. A total he feels is meagre.

He may well have been referring to the increased numbers available to him too. The club's head of performance and medicine Rob Price and his team can at least start releasing their charges back into the wild of the Premier League.

Striker Patrick Bamford and Luke Ayling are available after being injured for more than two months, but whether they are ready to run with the pack for 90 minutes is still moot.

Whites fans have been quick to jump on Bees boss Thomas Frank's utterings in case he gives another “they fear us” team talk like he did prior to the last meeting at Griffin Park in the Championship.

That triggered United's gallop to promotion.

This time his "history slightly bigger, budget slightly bigger, players bought slightly bigger" comments about Leeds are less inflammatory, but will no doubt provide supporters enough ammunition for the odd verbal volley.

meonpolitics: [RE: 13:28] I’m going for Lindelof with a bullet header for United's first goal under Rangnick. Scandinavian defenders scoring the first goal seems to be a good omen for United managers.

  19. Lawro's predictionpublished at 13:44 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December 2021

    Leeds v Brentford (14:00 GMT)

    Lawros' predictionImage source, BBC Sport

    Lawro's prediction: 2-0

Leeds are still not in full flow going forward but their results are steadily improving and I think they will continue to edge away from the relegation zone.

Brentford will keep on picking enough points to stay safe, especially at home, but I don't see them getting anything at Elland Road.

Jamie's prediction: Brentford gave us a really good game earlier in the season and I think they've got what it takes to stay up. 1-2
