Harvey Barnes is causing Matty Cash lots of problems on the left for Leicester. He holds the Villa full-back off and tries to stand up a cross, but it's headed clear.

It eventually comes back to Barnes and he tees up Luke Thomas, who loops a strike over.

Luke Thomas whips a low ball across the six-yard box - that corridor of uncertainty - but there was no Leicester player gambling on it.

John McGinn glides a pass out to Ashley Young on the left but Leicester win it back and can break at speed with Harvey Barnes.

He combines with James Maddison and gets it back, but can't quite get a shot off.

When Leicester go forward they have options out wide.

Aston Villa don't have that. Emi Buendia and Jacob Ramsey aren't natural wingers. Villa have a lot of wide players who are missing.

A few tackles flying in now as both sides snap away trying to win it back quickly.

Leicester work it down the left for Harvey Barnes once more but his cross is too strong.

Aston Villa keep giving the ball away and almost get punished.

James Maddison strikes low from inside the box but Matty Cash dives in front of his goalbound effort. That looked to be heading into the bottom corner...

It's a well-worked move as the hosts send it wide via Douglas Luiz and Jacob Ramsey, finding Matty Cash appearing on the edge of the box on the right.

He takes a touch, dithers for a moment and then fires at goal, but Kasper Schmeichel is behind it.

Jonny Evans takes a moment, he looks a little uncomfortable but will carry on for the moment.

Groans around Villa Park as the hosts give it away but Tyrone Mings, on his 100th Premier League appearance, steps in to stop the Leicester counter attack.

There was just 170 seconds between Leicester City's opening goal and Aston Villa's equaliser.

This is very open!

It looked like Ezri Konsa got a toe to help that one in, but Emi Buendia has been awarded the goal for his header... Konsa might have a word afterwards.

Gerrard will be dissapointed. There were two or three players around Daka and none of them won the tackle.

He plays it to Barnes and it's a great finish. He passes it into the corner, through the legs of Ezri Konsa.

Dangerous break for Aston Villa and they work it right to Matty Cash in space, but the full-back's cross fizzes high across the box and out for a throw-in on the far side.

Steven Gerrard swings his arm in frustration on the touchline.

Harvey Barnes is looking lively down the left for Leicester and cuts the ball back for James Maddison, but the Leicester playmaker's effort is quickly charged down.

Villa Park stands to applaud in tribute to Arthur Labinjo-Hughes in the sixth minute, as do the players.
