    Clinton Morrison
Former Republic of Ireland striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

How many times have we said about Leicester conceding from set-pieces? It's not good enough.

A great delivery and Konsa just wants it more. A great header right at the back post.

  2. goal

GOAL - Aston Villa 2-1 Leicesterpublished at 17:45 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December 2021

    Ezri Konsa (53 mins)

    Villa do lead now!

John McGinn's corner curls all the way to the back post, where Ezri Konsa is waiting to head it goalbound and it squeezes between Kasper Schmeichel and the post and into the net.

Having been awarded the earlier goal, Konsa is now on a hat-trick!

    Huge chance for Ollie Watkins!

It just opened up for the Villa forward, who drives into the box and looks to pick his spot, only for Luke Thomas to dash in and get a vital foot to the ball.

Goalkeepers are already overprotected, now they don't even need two hands on the ball? What next, ban players from going within 5 yards of them?

Great tracking back by Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, he stuck with Emi Buendia stride for stride there before taking the ball off the Villa man.

Jacob Ramsey then has a run at the Leicester defence but his touch is a little heavy.

Rules to be changed because Aston Villa aren't ahead is what I am reading? What if the shoe was on the other foot? Law is the law, maybe we need to read it more.

    Aston Villa 1-1 Leicester

Kasper Schmeichel clears the ball straight out of play and that gets probably the biggest cheer of the afternoon so far at Villa Park.

Better start from Villa in this second half. They're on the front foot and Ashley Young looks dangerous going forward.

    Aston Villa 1-1 Leicester

Ashley Young strides into the box on the left but his cross is cleared. Villa then come down the right instead and Matty Cash drives a low ball across the box. Emi Buendia just can't reach it.

Schmeichel knew what he was doing. He spilled it and outstretched to use the rule to save a goal. Come on Villa let’s use this frustration to win!

Within the laws, the goal clearly should have been disallowed. But the laws seem to change so often..... respect to Clinton Morrison for admitting he's not sure if he knows the rules anymore!

Adren: Jacob Ramsey's goal is a goal every day of the week, and if there is a rule saying otherwise that rule should be changed for the betterment of the game.

Matt: Re 17:21 I hold my hands up. Thought the law was two hands, turns out its only one. You can't say its not the correct decision when you know that.

Peter: One hand on the ball and the ball on the ground equals two hands on the ball. Even my 12-year-old son knows as much.

Joe: I'm surprised about the number of people - including ex-pros - that didn't know that the 'two hands' law hasn't been a law for a long time now.

If those are the "laws of the game" then the laws of the game need to change. Both hands please. No way can Schmeichel be considered to be in control of the ball.

    Ross, Litchfield

Whether it is interpreted as a foul or not - is it a clear and obvious error? No! Goal should stand.

    Heathy, Tring

Well played the ref for knowing the rules off the game to disallow Aston Villa's goal.
