    FT: Leicester 4-0 Newcastle

    Michael Brown
Former Man City midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

I felt like Newcastle had the opportunities but the quality and the game management wasn't there, they weren't putting it inti the right areas, and that's cost them.

It's a big slog for Eddie Howe with the games coming up. Nowhere near good enough from his side in the second half.

Youri Tielemans scored a brace in his 100th Premier League appearance.

We're into three minutes of injury time and Jarrod Bowen's stinging drive is tipped behind by Nick Pope, probably the man of the match. The corner is headed away but Burnley can't break.

Mark: Leicester could barely scrape a team together and they’ve been made to look like world beaters. The Championship beckons for Newcastle…

    Burnley 0-0 West Ham

So close for Burnley! Charlie Taylor runs down the left and whips a wonderful ball across the six-yard box. If Jay Rodriguez makes any contact in the centre it's 1-0, but it's agonisingly past him.

Gumbo: It must be a (very) long term plan the new NUFC owners have. Would need a monumentally good January transfer window.

  11. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2021

Oh that was almost the moment and it's Declan Rice who saves West Ham.

Burnley counter quickly and Dwight McNeil finds Matej Vydra, who tries to turn and shoot in the box but Rice stops him.

  14. 'Newcastle have been a shambles'published at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2021

    Leicester 4-0 Newcastle

    Michael Brown
Former Man City midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Newcastle have been a shambles, you can hear the celebrations, they've been cut apart by this Leicester side.

James Maddison strikes the ball with his left foot right across Martin Dubravka. Terrible performance second half from Newcastle.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2021

You can tell we're back to home working again because my monitor keeps getting pushed by a toddler playing a Gruffalo game. That barely ever happens in the office.

  17. Postpublished at 15:44 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2021

    Burnley 0-0 West Ham

West Ham win a corner. Their 12th of the game.

  18. Postpublished at 15:43 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2021

    Burnley 0-0 West Ham

Declan Rice has been West Ham's best player today. He decides to take matters into his own hands as the ball comes to him 22 yards out. He stops it with his first touch and hammers in a lovely shot which just lands on the roof of the net.

  19. goal

GOAL - Leicester 4-0 Newcastlepublished at 15:43 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2021

    James Maddison (85 mins)

    Leicester have turned it on!

Patson Daka plays a one-two with James Maddison on the edge of the box and when it comes back to the England midfielder, he coolly places it into the far corner.

  20. CLOSE!published at 15:42 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2021

    Leicester 3-0 Newcastle

I love watching this guy play.

Allan Saint-Maximin just dances past a few players - twisting and turning, pulling out a maradona turn and a few stepovers - but he's eventually crowded out in the six-yard area.
