What a response from Chelsea. They looked down and out a few minutes ago but that brilliant volley by Mateo Kovacic has lit the spark. What a game we have now.

Lance Adeola: Sloppy, sloppy Liverpool players. So complacent!

Jay B: Oh dear, Virgil van Dijk is looking like Dejan Lovren.

Saidmadrid: Chelsea right back in it. In two minutes Liverpool have blown away their advantage. Unforgivable.

James Milner chips it over to Sadio Mane. Thiago Silva just about deals with it.

Jordan Henderson fires it across the edge of the box. Hastily cleared.

Right. I can't keep up. Chaos.

Mohamed Salah is almost clean through at one end. Chelsea then counter and Mason Mount's scuffed volley rolls agonisingly past the left post!!!

Pulisic missed an earlier opportunity but he's made amends with the finish.

We talk about that ball in behind all the time. Pulisic was on to it and this time he makes no mistake.

    Christian Pulisic

    This game is wild!!!

    Stamford Bridge has gone berzerk.

N'Golo Kante flicks it past Ibrahima Konate, Christian Pulisic is in and he lifts it over the keeper and into the net.

Chelsea are right back in this with seconds to go until the break.

Kelleher has done brilliantly to get it away, but it comes out to Kovacic and what a finish.

He's having to step back as well, which makes it even more impressive.

There's a VAR check for offside but it comes to nothing.

Phew, that would have been a travesty! Goal of the season contender. One for MOTD.

    Mateo Kovacic

    OH HELLO.

It's a worldie. An absolute worldie from Mateo Kovacic.

Marcos Alonso goes for goal. Caoimhin Kelleher punches it away and it's a decent one.

Kovacic is outside the box, volleys it and it's in the bottom right corner, hits the inside of the post and ripples the back netting.

    Wow.

Katvik: What really worries me is that something is very wrong about this Chelsea team now. They increasingly start to resemble the Lampard team right before the end. Zero belief, zero creativity, keep conceding incredibly stupid goals. Most players stopped performing.

Virgil van Dijk pokes it away to a team-mate before Kai Havertz comes rushing in and clips him.

The Chelsea players are getting slightly frustrated. Liverpool are 2-0 up without having controlled it.

Trevoh Chalobah was unreal there. Mo Salah has two options, but Chalobah holds his ground so he can only go one way.

Otherwise that would have been 3-0.

The ruthless finishing of Salah the difference here. I wonder if Tuchel is beginning to regret not starting his own ruthless finisher...

  19. CLOSE!published at 37 mins

    Chelsea 0-2 Liverpool

Trent Alexander-Arnold plays another excellent ball through to Mohamed Salah. Liverpool have a three-on-two at the back, they're all onside too. Salah goes by himself and can't quite get the shot off. It's well defended in the end. That was a big chance!

N'Golo Kante tries to poke it through to Kai Havertz. Ibrahima Konate is in the way.

It's settled down a little now. Liverpool look less open at the back.
