It won't have escaped your attention that yesterday's Boxing Day fixture list was considerably lighter than usual.
Unfortunately, Covid-19 cases meant the majority of games scheduled to be played in the EFL on 26 December had to be postponed.
With the quick turnaround between games at this time of year sadly a lot of matches due to be played in the coming days are now also going the same way.

The home side had the better of the opening exchanges but Scott Parker's men withstood the pressure.
They should have taken the lead when Dominic Solanke headed over from six yards but the former Chelsea and Liverpool man made no mistake a few minutes before half time with a lovely deft header into the far corner.
