United full-back Alex Telles is down on the deck needing treatment, he's in pain holding his lower back.

Coccyx I think they call it.

    I'm no doctor.

Tottenham continue to get some joy down the right side. Harry Kane sets up Japhet Tanganga for a chipped cross that Kasper Schmeichel claims.

Leicester are going to make a first change shortly.

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Middlesbrough & Fulham keeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Brentford have had some massive chances. That was another one where you’d say they have to find the back of the net.

David de Gea has made really good saves with his feet and Brentford need to find the corners a bit better.

Frustration for Leicester as Youri Tielemans is penalised for fouling Pierre Emile Hojbjerg in the Spurs half. Not sure he did much wrong.

  7. Will Brentford live to regret misses?published at 20:37 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2022

    Brentford 0-0 Man Utd

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Brentford Community Stadium

Brentford are exposing Manchester United regularly at the back but they are not taking these big chances, with Mathias Jensen again failing to finish off a superb break. De Gea to the rescue once more.

Ralf Rangnick slaps his hands together in fury. United have been awful.

The only thing missing for Brentford is that goal. Will United make them pay?

    Leicester 1-1 Tottenham

Matt Doherty is straight into the action.

His cross finds Sergio Reguilon at the back stick, but after cutting back inside his shot deflects over.

From the resulting corner, Pierre Emile Hiojbjerg slices a shot badly wide.

A Premier League footballer just has to score there. Brentford will rue missing chances like that.

    Brentford 0-0 Man Utd

It hasn't exactly been thrilling football for United under Ralf Rangnick, has it?

They're struggling to get to grips with a more energetic and a more skilful Brentford side.

David de Gea drops a high ball on his goalline following an aerial challenge with Pontus Jansson.

The referee waves play on but thankfully for the visitors a defender is stationed in the right place to clear.

Matt Doherty's first act is to get a solid tackle in on a Leicester man and then charge off down the right to start an attack that ends with his poor cross.

  13. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2022

    Leicester 1-1 Tottenham

We go again. Don't fancy your chances if you have money on this ending 1-1.

Matt Doherty is on for Spurs. Emerson Royal must have an injury.

  14. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2022

    Brentford 0-0 Man Utd

The chances keep coming for Brentford but they cannot make them another.

A swift counter-attack from the hosts eventually sees Ivan Toney lay the ball off into the box for Mathias Jensen, but again the Dane's strike is kept out by a stretching David de Gea.

The follow up deflects just wide of the post.

United are living very dangerously at the back.

  15. Postpublished at 20:29 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2022

Nearly executed well from Mason Greenwood, drifting a cross-field ball towards Anthony Elanga inside the box, but it has just a little too much juice on it and the Swede is unable to collect.

  17. CLOSE!published at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2022

You're thinking, why?? when Diogo Dalot lines one up from long range.

But he isn't too far off you know, cutting across the ball and arrowing it narrowly over the angle of post and crossbar.

It certainly had Jonas Lossl worried.

A thumbs up from Fred, Pontus Jansson wipes his brow and takes a swig of water and both players are back on.

Both players are hurt after that collision and the physios come sprinting on.

Babyboomer: I can imagine lots of complaints that the Man Utd defence is all over the place. But the problem is the midfield is incapable of winning the ball cleanly and holding on to it while they set up an attack. Foden has more skill in his big toe than Fred & McTominay.
