  1. Signing offpublished at 19:54 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2022

That's all from us for now after another cracking day of Premiership action.

We have new leaders with Glentoran, who edged Warrenpoint, leapfrogging a Linfield side which slipped to a 3-0 defeat at Coleraine.

There were wins for Glenavon and Dungannon Swifts before Larne desptached the struggling Ports with ease.

    Goodbye!

They beat us well but and they are a decent team - you would know they are full-time. They were really good but they should be. They beat us well but we're not the only team they've beaten. We've had two wins from 25 games - that tells you there is something wrong. We have to be honest with ourselves and and as a group look at ourselves. I said to the players: 'Are you doing the right things that it takes to get where we want to be?', which is trying to get us out of where we are.

Four goals and clean sheet - I couldn't ask for anything more and it was a very good performance for long periods. We got on the ball, passed it and showed real bravery. I'm delighted!

    Larne 4-0 Portadown

I'm not sure what positives Paul Doolin can take from his first game as Portadown manager after offering so little at Inver Park.

Maybe not conceding more is a plus for Larne pressed from start to finish to stroll to a victory which moves them up to fourth.

Portadown have only picked up a single point from their last six league games and lie nine points adrift of safety.

Doolin failed to deliver an instant impact although its only game one in the battle against relegation.

For a second Lee Bonis thought he completed his hat-trick after tapping in but the offside flag goes up and he'll have to settle for a double for now.

A classy strike from Navid Nasseri extends Larne's lead against a hugely disappointing Ports side.

The ball breaks to the substitute on the edge of the box and he calmly bends it beyond an outstretched Jethren Barr and into the corner of the net.

It's just a case of how many now!

    Larne 3-0 Portadown

It's another one for former Ports skipper Lee Bonis and he surely seals the points for the free-flowing hosts.

It comes just four minutes after the second goal with Bonis pouncing to net from close range after Ports keeper Jethren Barr fails to hold David McDaid's angled drive.

  11. goal

    Larne 2-0 Portadown

Larne have been knocking on the door for a second goal and it finally arrives on 58 minutes courtesy of a back-post finish from Kofi Balmer.

It's so simple - a corner is delivered deep and the defender runs in unmarked to tap in from a yard out.

The scoreline now comes close to reflecting Larne's total control while even with half-an-hour left you just can't see Portadown mounting a comeback.

    Larne 1-0 Portadown

The interval has not changed the pattern of this one-sided affair as Larne continue to dominate.

And midfielder John Herron has twice gone twice to adding a second goal, first seeing a low shot deflected wide before heading just off-target from a corner.

Portadown have barely had a sniff but there remains hope while it remains a one-goal game.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 18:20 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2022

    Larne 1-0 Portadown

That was a sobering 45 minutes for new Ports manager Paul Doolin as his side were outclassed by the slick hosts.

And it was just Portadown's luck that the only goal came from recent Shamrock Park team-mate Lee Bonis.

The visitors are fortunate just to be one down at the interval and Doolin needs his first half-time team talk to be one of his best.

  14. Tough watch for Doolinpublished at 18:12 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2022

    Larne 1-0 Portadown

Larne still bossing it and looking likely to add to their tally as they press the visitors back.

Albert Watson headed wide from corner and new manager Paul Doolin will hope to get his Ports team in at half-time without any further damage.

    Larne 1-0 Portadown

It was coming - and it's former Ports striker Lee Bonis who makes the breakthrough for the hosts after 24 minutes.

Bonis meets Thomas Cosgrove's cross at the nearpost and slots in from close range.

Muted celebrations from Bonis after giving Larne a deserved lead while new Ports boss Paul Doolin will not like what he's seen so far.

  17. CLOSE!published at 17:42 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2022

    Larne 0-0 Portadown

Lee Bonis scored his first goal for Larne on Tuesday night and he's missed out on doubling that tally against his former club.

Tomas Cosgrove sent in the cross and the striker fired wide of the target.

David McDaid was unlucky with another Larne chance, seeing his goalbound shot blocked by a team-mate.

The hosts pinging it around nicely in the opening 10 minutes with the Ports struggling to get a foothold in the game.

  18. 'Gameplan was perfect' - Campbellpublished at 17:39 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2022

    Crusaders 0-1 Glenavon

    Quote Message

I’ve been trying to score more goals this season. We’ve been up against some decent opposition in recent weeks but to get a couple of goals has been helpful to the team. We have got results here in the past couple of seasons and you could see today we knew what to do. We sat in, invited the pressure on and hit them on the counter-attack. If we had been a bit more clinical - the final pass killed us a bit – but I thought the gameplan was perfect from Gary (Hamilton).

It's a disappointing result and there were a couple of things that didn't go our way, which is frustrating, but I as the manager will have to assess my own performance today. I don't think it was good enough. I set us up in a manner that I thought was right but it wasn't. Without me blaming referees or players, I will have to take that one myself tonight.
