Dougla Luiz couldn't miss but it was a terrific build-up involving about four players. Philippe Coutinho, the little magician, particularly important here. Aston Villa are good value for this 2-0 lead.
Burnley 0-0 Chelsea
Jorginho has a shot blocked in Chelsea's first chance in who knows how long.
Aston Villa 2-0 Southampton
Ollie Watkins flicks a long ball into the path of Philippe Coutinho, who has time and space and should tuck this away... but he slots his shot just wide.

Michael Brown
Former Manchester City midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live
It's a good spell from Burnley. I have been really impressed by. They are being patient, waiting for their chances and have shown real tempo and pace - it's just their finishing that has let them down.
Newcastle 2-0 Brighton
Dan Burn comes close to his first goal for Newcastle against his old club with a header from a corner. He should have scored! Then Jacob Murphy fires straight at the keeper after a slip by Lewis Dunk.
Douglas Luiz (44 mins)
A goal made in Brazil.
Calum Chambers, who is not Brazilian, lifts a ball over the top to Philippe Coutinho. He squares it to Douglas Luiz, who can't miss with Fraser Forster scurrying back across his goal.
Luiz's first Premier League goal in two years.

Nika: Zero effort from Chelsea players. Bring in RLC, Werner and Lukaku and you’ll see the difference.
Sulaimon Adelekan: McNeil with the miss of the season. The control was excellent, the finishing was abysmal.
Newcastle 2-0 Brighton
Can Newcastle get through a match without a worrying injury? Matt Targett is down getting treatment. He's going to be OK to continue but Eddie Howe looks concerned.
Aston Villa 1-0 Southampton
Philippe Coutinho goes close for Villa. He finds Matty Cash on the overlap and the Pole plays the ball back to the Brazilian, who hammers a powerful shot just over. Inches.
Aston Villa 1-0 Southampton
Southampton left-back Romain Perraud scored a screamer from 30 yards out the other day, his first goal in English football. He tries it again from near the same spot but lightning doesn't strike twice.
Wolves 0-2 Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace want to put this to bed quickly. Conor Gallagher lets fly and his attempt is heading for the net until Jose Sa sticks out a big hand to turn it behind.
It's one-way traffic in the Black Country.

Re Kev @ 15:24, the hype for Graham Potter would be ten fold if his players could finish their dinner!

Christian Eriksen was booked for that foul on Brandon Williams a minute ago actually.

Re Chris and Simon's comments, Newcastle's resurgence has been all because of Eddie Howe and how he's made the existing players better (Joelinton, Fraser, Murphy, Schar, Willock). Our two "big" signings, Bruno and Trippier, aren't even playing.

Re Chris at 15:30, I'm not a Toon fan, but any team can buy players and change their manager in the January transfer window. Newcastle just bought well, and didn't exactly bring in world class players!
