    A large group of protestors have been gathering near the Stamford Gate here at Chelsea to make their feelings known about the Ricketts family, who are one of the groups hoping to take over from Roman Abramovich.

    They want Americans’ bid to be turned away because of alleged racist comments made by the family’s patriarch, Joe Ricketts.

    Placards were held up amid noisy anti-Ricketts chanting.
