Fabian Delph slides in to deny Nemanja Matic a few moments later and United have a corner but it comes to nothing.

Everton fans rise to Richarlison as he chases down every lost cause. They love the Brazilian and his attitude at Goodison Park and he raises the temperature further with a fist pump towards the Gwladys Street.

United break through the middle. Fred finds Cristiano Ronaldo, he feeds Marcus Rashford but he's robbed of possession.

It's straight up the other end through Richarlison, who wins a throw-in again and gets a big roar of suppot from the home fans.

What a chance! It's cut back from the left by Richarlison to Anthony Gordon. He slides it towards goal first time but Victor Lindelof gets a crucial block in!

Almost 2-0 and two for Gordon.

Alex Telles' cross isn't quite reached by Jadon Sancho but it falls to Aaron Wan-Bissaka. He tries to shoot but Richarlison is back there defending.

He carries it all the way up the pitch and wins a throw-in inside United's half.

Anthony Gordon takes another corner from the left and it's straight to Ben Godfrey. He's stretching a little as he tries to head it under the bar but he gets too much on it.

babyboomer: If Rangnick insists on picking Wan Bissaka he should put him at centre forward. He has already proved to be a liability at full back, wing back, winger, so at least he would be out of the way up front.

Ooooh. Jordan Pickford is completely caught out as Bruno Fernandes plays a brilliant pass over to Marcus Rashford.

He air swipes it on the volley. Any touch and that was probably in as Pickford was way off his line and out of position.

Richarlison is caught late as he passes it off to Alex Iwobi. Harry Maguire gets a foot in and it rebounds off Victor Lindelof but the whistle has already gone for a free-kick.
