Harry Maguire heads it across to Cristiano Ronaldo. He takes a touch then smashes it on the half-volley.

Pickford blocks it and there's a quick VAR check for a handball off Michael Keane which doesn't last long.

Everton's game management has been good - that's what they didn't do against Burnley, they were clumsy they got punished and they need to learn from this. The home support has been incredible, from the first whistle the supporters have got behind them.

Manchester United, what a poor day for them, they've been nowhere near at it, they lack intensity, pace or any sort of structure. And the main man Cristiano Ronaldo hasn't had any kind of service at the top of the pitch.

Seamus Coleman does really well on the right as he beats a few players and breaks into United's half.

He tries to slide in Alex Iwobi but it's a tired pass and won't reach him.

Five minutes...

Alex Iwobi intercepts a pass off Bruno Fernandes then runs it into the corner and spins away from a few challenges. He wins a throw-in off Fernandes too and the United player responds by complaining over something, waving his arms in the air.

It's hoofed long for Bruno Fernandes to chase and Jordan Pickford comes running across just to make sure but it will roll out.

He goes to collect the ball but the steward gets there first, deliberately keeps hold of it for a few seconds and Pickford laughs. He turns back to the referee and puts his arms up innocently. "It wasn't me (but I'm secretly grateful)!"

Cristiano Ronaldo shows his frustration as he pelts the ball into the dugout after conceding a throw-in. He gets a yellow card for it too.

Alex Iwobi tracks Paul Pogba and wins a goal kick. He gets a big cheer and a few pats on the back from his team-mates.

Jadon Sancho beats Anthony Gordon. He links up with Cristiano Ronaldo and it's chipped in. Aaron Wan-Bissaka chests it down and hits it on the volley.

Juan Mata pokes it across and it almost falls for Anthony Elanga but there's enough bodies in the way to block it in front of Jordan Pickford.

Romelu Lukaku is not involved at all for Chelsea today.

Thomas Tuchel tells Premier League Productions that the forward is injured.

Asked about the absence of captain Cesar Azpilicueta, he adds: "Unfortunately he has a positive Covid test."

Harri5678: All these negative Utd comments make it sound like a pleasure being an Everton fan.

Paul Pogba has space to shoot from long range. He connects with it well but Jordan Pickford is down to make the save and does really well not to hold onto it as there were players rushing in for the rebound.

Colin: Every week I think the team and performances can’t get any worse. Every week I am proven wrong. Club is a mess top to bottom and a huge job on for the future manger to sort it.
