At 2-0 down after half an hour, you'd have taken being in this situation, as a Middlesbrough fan or player, just to still be in the game. If they do get an opportunity and take it, this place will lift off.

I hold no candle for Chelsea at all but absent Leicester find me a club that's been successful in England without spending money. How were Liverpool doing until they spent over £100m on Alisson and Van Dijk?

Jones loves a challenge. He wants to be tested. In his mind he's thinking 'right, Premier League opposition, let me show you what I can do' and he's not letting anyone down.

It feels more of a Cup tie now. That opening for Middlesbrough has woken Chelsea up a bit. It feels like it could be brewing into something.

Manchester City and Liverpool (on penalties) are the only teams to beat Chelsea this year so this was always a huge task for Championship Boro.

Middlesbrough got that press right. But again, there's that conviction in front of goal, that pause, that lack of confidence. It's just not happening for Middlesbrough right now.

Re. Mahesh at 18:27: Chelsea are clearly not a team in crisis, they’re a club in crisis, for reasons of "sporting integrity". There's a big difference.

The pattern's been set again by Chelsea. They went long for the first 10 minutes [of the second half] to stretch the game a bit but now they've got control of the ball more and they're saying 'there's that press, we know that that one pass can get us through the midfield'.

You can see clearly what Chris Wilder brings to the table. This is a team that is exciting to watch.

He's got the fans onside and I think they will have a right push for promotion between now and the end of the season

FA Cup this season has shown the difference between the top 3 in the PL and those below. Middlesbrough brushed aside flaky Man Utd and Spurs but are being turned over by Chelsea.
