Jack Butland hasn't had to do much but he was scrambling there. Good build-up play from Everton, Demarai Gray gets a bit of luck in a one v one but it's inches wide - good chance. They have had moments in them and if they can get one back in the next few minutes then it will get nervy here. They just need to believe a bit more.

Joachim Andersen gets it clear under pressure from Richarlison. Palace break through Michael Olise but Mason Holgate pushes him in the back and gives away a free-kick.

Oooh, just as I type that...

Demarai Gray creates space for himself on the edge of the box as he spins away from Conor Gallagher and he strikes it cleanly. It's not too far away from the bottom left corner!

Not much happening now. Palace have a strong lead and Everton's buzz has been killed a bit.

Andre Gomes is in the book as he runs straight into Michael Olise and leaves one on him in the face.

Michael Olise's free-kick is headed away by Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Anthony Gordon then wins a foul off Olise as he clears it in the corner.

Seamus Coleman had options in the box but opts not to send it in. It's switched over to the far side instead but Nathaniel Clyne reads it well to intercept. Eventually it's curled in by Mason Holgate but Jack Butland gathers it in comfortably.

Andre Gomes wins it in the middle and finds Richarlison. He immediately looks for Demarai Gray with a first time pass but it's straight out for a goal kick.

Everton are all over the shop and you can see that from the recruitment and now with what Frank Lampard is trying to put together - he can only work with what he's got. He's trying different shapes but it's poor.

Cheikhou Kouyate wins the header as he challenges Dominic Calvert-Lewin but he lands a bit heavy. He's winded but should be OK.

Great play from Eberechi Eze on the left as he brings down a headed clearance and retains possession.

He gets a cheer from the home fans, who are really enjoying themselves. It's been a good display from the hosts so far.

Ooh, almost.

Michael Olise tries to flick it down the line for Nathaniel Clyne with his backheel but it just rolls out of play.

It comes to Marc Guehi but he's stretching as he makes contact and it's away by the two centre-backs.

Wilfried Zaha almost gets away from Ben Godfrey but he's won a corner on the left.

Conor Gallagher will take.

Michael Olise cuts inside of Anthony Gordon and leaves Mason Holgate stuck in the turf. He gets a bit fortunate as he bundles through another challenge in the box before winning a corner. Again, he fizzes in the set-piece but Jordan Pickford scrambles it away.

Everton started the first half in blistering fashion but it's Palace who have had the possession early on after the break.

Can Everton respond?
