You could argue Everton don't need the distraction of the FA Cup while they are struggling at the bottom of the Premier League table, but I actually think another win would do them the world of good before they sign off for the international break.

Everything was going wrong for Everton until their last-gasp winner against Newcastle on Thursday, so this is a chance for them to build some more confidence. There is no way Frank Lampard will field a weakened team after that result, because he has had enough bad news without bringing more on himself.

This is still a very tough tie, though, no matter who Lampard picks.

Crystal Palace have lost only one of their past nine games in all competitions and we saw against Manchester City on Monday just how hard they are to beat.

FA Cup runs are rare for the Eagles - they lost in the final in 2016 but before then 1995 was the last time they made the last four. With Everton so poor on their travels, this is a great chance for Patrick Vieira's side to progress that far.

Manchester City

Manchester City are likely to remain without central defender Ruben Dias as he recovers from a hamstring strain.

Dias is back in training but unlikely to be risked while boss Pep Guardiola has no other fresh injury concerns.

This is Crystal Palace's second FA Cup quarter-final in the last four seasons.

They have gone further just once in 26 years - when they reached the 2015-16 final under Alan Pardew, eventually losing to Manchester United.

Everton last reached the semi-finals that same season, losing to United. They have not made the final since finishing runners-up to Chelsea in 2008-09.

But the Toffees are appearing in the quarter-finals for the 47th time - the most of any side in the competition's history.

They have won 26 of their previous 46 last-eight ties (57%).

Southampton

Tino Livramento and Nathan Tella have been declared fit for Southampton as long-term injury victims Alex McCarthy and Lyanco remain their only absentees.

Tella has been out since January with a groin problem, while Livramento was rested for the league loss to Watford.

As a player, Patrick Vieira won the FA Cup on four occasions between 1998-2005 and he will be hoping his knowhow in the competition can help Crystal Palace reach the semi-finals.

Vieira will be going up against another former midfield great and four-time winner when he locks horns with Everton manager Frank Lampard in the technical area.

Jack Butland and Eberechi Eze replace Vicente Guaita and Jeffrey Schlupp.

Jordan Pickford returns from illness as one of four changes for Everton.

He comes in for Asmir Begovic, while Jonjoe Kenny replaces Allan, Andre Gomes comes in for Alex Iwobi and Andros Townsend replaces Demarai Gray.

This is the first time Nottingham Forest and Liverpool are meeting in the FA Cup since 1989, when 97 supporters died at Hillsborough.

Liverpool won 3-1 at Old Trafford in the replayed semi-final en route to winning the trophy that year.

The City Ground will leave 97 seats vacant at today's game in honour of those who died.

It's FA Cup quarter-final day and we have three big ties coming up, including one between competition giants Nottingham Forest and Liverpool, who have won nine titles between them.

It is the first time the sides have met in the FA Cup since the Hillsborough disaster in 1989.

There are also two all-Premier League ties as Crystal Palace take on Everton, while Southampton host Manchester City.
