Richarlison is going to try and hunt and press you, he got away with it. I don't think it's a penalty but Guehi's touch was poor.

Wilfried Zaha loses it in his own half and Everton have a corner on the right.

It's half-cleared, comes back in and Marc Guehi has to hoof it behind for another corner, which is headed over by Mason Holgate.

Well, Everton have started quickly!

Should be 1-0. The ball in from Andros Townsend wasn't really cleared and it falls to Michael Keane eight yards out. He swings his left foot but just gets his contact all wrong and Ben Godfrey should've had that at the back post.

It should definitely be 1-0.

Richarlison is almost in! Marc Guehi recovers just in time to slide in and poke it back to Jack Butland.

Everton want a penalty but they won't get one. That was a very heavy touch.

What a chance!

A free-kick is curled in from the left, Michael Keane scuffs his shot and it's heading wide but Ben Godfrey is inches from it at the back post.

He might have been offside anyway but that was so close!

On Conor Gallagher and Marc Guehi's England call-ups: "As a football club of course we are really pleased to have players at that level. It will give them an experience and for them to believe more and learn from those players they will have around them."

On Everton: "We have to perform well first. The game will be 50-50. We have to play together and if we have a good game then we have more chance of getting to the next round but we don't want to think about the semi-finals until we play today."

Everton manager Frank Lampard speaking to ITV: "Newcastle was a huge result for us; players and fans alike. We needed it. It was a big night and we need to carry that momentum over, while also making sure we've recovered and are ready for a huge game."

On Jordan Pickford's return: "Asmir [Begovic] is not well; Jordan wasn't, now he's better. Asmir would have played because it is the FA Cup, but Jorden is back and we are covered. We've got injury issues, as well as illness and suspensions. We'll have to dig in today.

"Dominic [Calvert-Lewin] had a reaction after Newcastle, not an injury but he rested Friday, but he's on the bench and ready to contribute. He's too important to us. We've got the international break coming up to work with him."

On the FA Cup: "It is nice to be in a different competition. The pressure of the Premier League is of a certain type. Everyone should want to get to Wembley. In these games, commitment is the first baseline."

Sun's out, FA Cup football, I can't wait for the game. I don't know which way it's going to go. Everton had that massive result in mid-week and Crystal Palace are also on a great run. It could go to extra time, I really think it could go either way.

The only thing that worries me for Everton is that midfield - no Allan, they've changed shape because of Andre Gomes coming in so that might be a factor today.

A big win for Everton on Thursday. Can they follow that up by reaching the FA Cup semi-finals?

Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest are hoping to knock out a third Premier League side in this season's FA Cup having already beaten Arsenal and Leicester City.

This is their first FA Cup quarter-final since the 1995-96 campaign, when they lost 1-0 at home to Aston Villa.

Forest last reached the semi-finals of the competition in 1990-91, when they eventually lost in the final to Tottenham.

Crystal Palace had not beaten Everton in 13 matches before their 3-1 Premier League victory over the Toffees in December.

They have never beaten Everton twice in the same campaign.

Everton have not lost consecutive away games at Palace since 1971 and they conceded as many times in their trip to Selhurst Park in December as they had in their eight prior visits combined.

There have been 21 goals across the previous seven FA Cup meetings.

Palace have progressed just once from those five ties and replays.

Manchester City last met Southampton in the FA Cup in January 2007 in round four.

Goals from Darius Vassell, Joey Barton and DaMarcus Beasley turned a 1-0 deficit into a 3-1 win after Kenwyne Jones' opener for Southampton.

Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest defender Scott McKenna is a doubt after being forced off with an injury in the Championship win against QPR on Wednesday.

Forest are already without defenders Steve Cook and Max Lowe because of ankle and groin injuries respectively.

Everton

Everton manager Frank Lampard said the Premier League was the priority as his side continue to fight relegation.

But he hopes a win in the FA Cup will give them "momentum" as they look to secure safety.

"The cup is important because the club has big history and I'm a big believer in momentum," said Lampard.

"The Premier League is the priority but they don't have to be two separate things."
